Nah you’re thinking of the tv series “Kamp Koral”. This is just another soulless moneygrab movie. Not saying the prequel television series isn’t. Mr. Krabs and Sandy Cheeks are in it even though Spongebob met both characters during adulthood.

I can watch stopmotion movies and believe I'm looking at an expansive setting and not just some shot on a table, but a lot of scenes in this CGI movie blatantly feel small for some reason. I don't know how to explain it, I can just feel the fact that this is not a real setting in how they are put together. Everything feels really small and close up in these kinds of shots. Granted this one might be Spongebob fucking around in his bathtub or something but there's a lot of shots that give me this vibe and I'm just curious if anyone else gets this kind of feeling from the footage.

I still wished it was 2D, but I won't deny they translated the original artstyle perfectly into CG.
SpongeBob looks like his classic S1-3 design, and lighting is specially on-point. It looks very comfy.
My biggest gripe is that the plot seems too generic. And all that Camp Coral bs doesn't help either.
I really hope the Camp Coral portion of the movie gets removed. I know it probably wont, but I'm hoping it's not longer than a 5-10 minute flashback.
