ITT: Plots that were never properly resolved

How did Tony Stark get uninverted? Superior Iron Man and the Final Incursion ended with Tony still being evil, but after the Secret Wars time-skip he's back to normal with no explanation. We got explanations for how Havok and Sabretooth reverted to the status quo, but not Tony.

What's even weirder is that he still has the Endo-Sym, so it's not liked it never happened.

The Next Avengers moved to 616 in Spencer's Avengers World.
No one ever referenced them again,

Tony and Steve died during the Final Incursion punching each other in the face

Franklin and Reed brought everyone back, so they decided to erase memories of Time Runs Out and fixed Tony in the process because he was being a dick

Poor Alex, no one fixed him lol

Pretty much. Secret Wars allowed everything to end and be restarted as the writer would've wanted it. I'd also say that Hickman probably didn't want Tony inverted. He got stuck with a lot of characters being changed while he was working on Avengers. He also had Spock and he really didn't do much other than write an asshole Peter.

So much shit got dropped when Remender left Marvel
>Who is the Hydra traitor in the Avengers?
>Misty Knight claimed there was a Hydra infiltrator in every team, was this true?
>Who was Misty Knight really working for and why did she lie about working for SHIELD?
>Who are the Hydra High Council?
>What happened to Ian Zola?
>What happened to Havok and Wasp's daughter that Kang kidnapped? Do they even remember her?
>What happened to the Apocalypse Twins?
>What happened to the High Evolutionary's super minion with the powers of Pietro and Wanda?
>What happened to all those robot babies Vision had with the High Evolutionary's robot?

Who was Facade?

>Who is the Hydra traitor in the Avengers?
>Misty Knight claimed there was a Hydra infiltrator in every team, was this true?

It was Cap, which personally I love as a twist. it was supposed to be that was like a soft retcon for Spencer's run. Probably doesn't actually make sense if you try to work it in

I'm glad Hickman got to take over the entire X-Men line after Bendis fucked over whatever was supposed to happen. I'm still mad at the lack of pay off to Scott telling Bobby "We got a Phoenix egg, time to enter the game"

Blood of Apocalypse ends with Apocalypse being taken away by the Celestials, who tell him "its time" for him to repay them. Then we get to Uncanny X-Force, where Apocalypse is said to be dead, and Clan Akkaba created a child clone of him, who is killed by Fantomex, who then makes another Kid Apocalypse clone and raises him right.
But then in X-Men: Black and X-Men: Disassembled, En Sabah Nur is back with no explanation, none of the X-Men are even surprised.

>What happened to Ian Zola?

hes the marvel version of sam beckett. lost to the multiverse

I doesn't really matter since the current Tony is just an AI copy in a clone body

By that logic, so are all of the X-Men now.

What do you mean "by that logic"? The X-men are clones now, that's not up to debate.

>original peter parker died in otto's body and the one that took back his body is just a duplicate of his brainwaves and that's only after a man in his 50s used his body for sex with a midget
>original steve turned evil and the current captain america is the copy made by kobik
>everyone aside from the f4 and future foundation are dead and just replaced by copies made by franklin
>old cable was killed and replaced by his younger self
At this point nobody is their original.

Even in-universe, if you're part of the X-Men you just learn to shrug and accept things like that since they happen all the time. They should show a Reality Counselor who helps new X-Men come to terms with this so they aren't so stressed all the time.

Old Cable is alive

>everyone aside from the f4 and future foundation are dead and just replaced by copies made by franklin

Doom and Molecule Man too, right?

Not surprised.

Doom too although MM is a strange case. I don't even know what happened with him in the FF comic since that was a shitfest with horrible art.

I guess it's something the Marvel citizens get used to.

I remember there being some kind of handwave, maybe the inverison ran out like it did for Sabertooth, but it was really quick and brief, and I can't be bothered to remember what they so clearly didn't care about explaining.

Which is a shame because inverted Tony was a lot of fun. Inverted Havok sucked, and I thought Inverted Sabertooth added a lot of depth to an otherwise kind of brainless character that they never dared to do anything really interesting with.

Look, I'm all for cartoonish hate that borders on the Looney Tunes, Black Manta is the fucking best, but the whole more savage animal thing kind of diminishes that relationship because it's ideological and ultimately, just a bestial thing rather than him doing it because he thrives on Logan's suffering. Some writers capitalized on the cartoonishness, but Sabertooth lacks the insane lengths that someone like Black Manta is willing to do, and is willing to throw away all for the singular point of fucking with Aquaman. You never see see Creed do anything cartoonishly over the top like infiltrating and taking over the Cabal or something and changing it's singular purpose to 'Fuck with Logan' like you see with Manta.

>>original steve turned evil and the current captain america is the copy made by kobik
I don't get this logic. If you believe that the current Captain America is a fake created by Kobik, surely that means that Captain Hydra is also a fake and the original Captain America is simply dead for good.

Isn't the current Stark at least the 6th version of Tony Stark?

1. "The Crossing": Original Tony dies, replaced by alt-timeline teenage Tony

2. "Onslaught": Teen Tony dies

3. "Heroes Reborn": TeN Tony is transferred to Counter Earth and aged-up by Franklin Richards

3. "Heroes Reborn": Alt-Tony is merged with original Tony when returned to 616

4. "Secret Wars": Tony dies along with everyone, is remade by Doom

5. Post-"Secret Wars": Tony is remade by Franklin

6. Post-"Civil War II": Tony is just an AI copy in a clone body

Shit, fucked up the numbering. 7th version.

Original Cap had his memories changed by Kobik into thinking he was an agent of Hydra but it's still the same body. Kobik goes into hiding and Steve's original memories find her and she makes a new body for him. You literally see good Steve spawning out of HydraCap's body before they fight in the Secret Empire finale.

Slott was setting up something with the original body, so maybe Tony will be human again at the end of 2020

It wasn't a memory wipe, HydraCap is a different person than 616 Cap.

Slott couldn't even do a simple body swap story right. I doubt he can do anything more complicated than that.

I didn't imply that it was being handled well; just adding my two cents to the conversation.

It's the same body though.

Convoluted shit like this is why I don't bother with X-Men

No.
And even if that was the case during SE, OG Cap got a new body.

Jesus Christ I'm glad I don't follow capeshit any more

Emma and Lorna got around to it eventually.

I know the answer is "because they don't want to spend money on it", but why don't Marvel or DC have someone in charge of maintaining continuity? When an issue featuring Apocalypse is submitted by a writer, why can't someone say, "Wait, isn't Apocalypse dead?" Why is that so hard?

Marvel's editorial was gutted some time ago.
