Space Jam is the funnier and more iconic movie but Roger Rabbit is objectively better in basically every way. If you weren't alive for Jordan mania then you probably won't appreciate Space Jam as much, but Roger Rabbit is timeless.

Never actually saw Space Jam, or at least not the whole movie, I only know about it because of the memes. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is very enjoyable and still looks amazing 30+ years later.

The 90s renaissance of animation wouldn't have happened without Roger Rabbit convincing studio execs that animation was worth investing in. For that alone it comes out on top.

Space Jam's fucking terrible and the crisp clear definition of a soulless movie made by corporate execs to pander to children and to sell a product with no respect to the original source material.
Roger Rabbit is a great film, tells a great story with top tier animation, and has nothing but respect for classic animation and film as a whole

Roger Rabbit is one of if not the biggest technical achievement in all of animated history and such a concept will never happen again. There isn't a single thing about it that isn't pure mastery.

Space Jam invented characters that have become hugely popular and are now considered classic Looney Tunes. Disney has never done a single thing with anyone created for Roger Rabbit. Almost everything from the movie is forgotten and buried.
