Really they only had one season. All of these episodes were made in advance, and split into two "seasons". From the looks of it, they only had so much material to work with, and started grasping at straws in the second half with only the lesbian shit to sell

honestly, its nice to see a show not take itself too seriously, they just meander around and show a little 'what if harley was the MC' and not 'harley is just a bit player in a bigger stage of more interesting characters', ya they throw woke shit in ur face every now and then, but at least the violence and cursing isnt forced and there is a general respect for power levels. harley isnt like out dueling batman and shit or kicking flash in the face

and if ur gunna talk about wasting good characters then you should talk shit about the original BAS because bats basically kills villain after villain. and bane isnt dead, and he will be back

I'm kind of bummed that they made Dr. Psycho the final villain, I liked his cranky straight man shtick and thought it was bold that they had the canonical misogynist be the voice of reason in a group lead by an impulsive woman. Too bad they didn't stick with that.

It's not going to last. Riddler was manipulating him a few episodes ago by playing on his insecurities and he'll be doing the same now before stealing the reins from Psycho.

I wonder if Kite Man's parents will return. Would love for them to be told off by him.

But this is all true for Shippers in general. If anything, not showing the "other person" as a horrible person is kind of new and revolutionary in general. Shows used to try to find some reason why the cheated on person was a jerk when the cheatee is really the jerk, and so if Harley and Ivy are shown as jerks and Kite Man the Good Guy, sexes aside that's kind of new.

It's a mess but it's realistic. Sometimes people are assholes, they cheat and get together. They're still assholes. Hopefully everyone moves on eventually. The key is not to show what they do as okay. And Kite Man meets a new girl.
