So is she just green lantern but black and a “hacker”. Does it have the cliche ending of her becoming a “true hero” and getting a official ring?

I just do not get the appeal of her and Jinny Hex

Her origin is a straight up mirror of Hal getting a ring. Except instead of a ring from a dying GL, she gets the gauntlet from a dying criminal that immediately regrets giving it to her because she thinks he's a hero. I don't know if it was always intended to be that way or if Bendis changed it because the editors realized what he did but this version is better.

How is the new Young Justice anyways? I absolutely loved the original series, so I gave the new one a shot, but I only read about three issues and it kind of fell flat for me.

The whole "hacking" bit is too much even for my comicbook suspension of disbelief. GL rings are so high-tech they're at that "indistinguishable from magic" threshold. 31st century Brainiac 5 has nothing close to GL rings. 64th century Abracadabra had nothing close to GL rings. They're off the scale tech-wise.

I wouldn't mind a story of hacking some alien tech as long as its not too far off the scale. But this would be like a caveman reprogramming your iphone with a club. Some things are so far removed it just doesnt work.

This right here. "Teen Lantern" is fucking garbage. I know Bendis went back and attempted to fix her with this but its still trash. And if this thing really IS hacking into the Green Spectrum, the GL's should been up her ass in 2 seconds.

There's one key difference, the shota inherit his ring from his grandmother, Kelly never had a ring and it's not actually part of the Corps. Some alien trying to replicate Krona's Gautlet is interesting if the book decide to actually do something with it already.

It suffers heavily from Bendis speak. It's a large team, and every time anything happens every character on the team needs to chime in, usually multiple times, and usually to just say the word "Instagram" or something.

I'm grateful that superchad is back, and he hasn't been ruined from what I remember, but everyone else is just the worst.
