literally what the fuck rebecca
Literally what the fuck rebecca
Literally unwatchable
sugar stopped working in that show for years by that point, unless you're thinking of another rebecca
rebecca sugar was the only one who knew what she was doing
I'm sure it's visual shorthand to show much Finn has "grown" as a hero/person/man or some shit.
Though they probably just fucked up since Jake is less than a foot tall in the first shot and doesn't seem to be using his power.
rebecca worked on this episode bro
yes but there's a difference when you get to help guide the show's overall direction and make an episode within that, and when you're forced to work with the pieces of a toy someone else broke
wait are you just talking about their sizes
finn grew up idiot
Those are both from the show's finale, idiot
Why did they make Finn look smaller than when he has 12 at certain times? Is it incompetence or do they just hate him.
shows always make these kinda mistakes but it's never all too noticable or meaningful most of the time
the reason people shit on SU for shit like this is because SU does it in ways that are jarring and distracting
it kind of just seems like something autismos care about cause I watched the entire series and rarely noticed it which is why I assume the animators do it because the average viewer will never notice
When Sugar and Ward left the show that was pretty much when it was doomed to go downhill. The whole reason why Frost and Fire even happened was because Flame Princess and Finn's relationship was Sugar's doing and they had absolutely no idea what to do with them after she left.
Stopping the war made Finn feel like an adult so he grew to adult size
She just made the song
People like to shit on Sugar but at least she cared about Finn.
That is in the official Enchiridion
Yeah, I’ll be honest, I never noticed it until people mentioned it, I have no idea why this bothers people so much.
It seems to be a common thing in shows to disregard relative character sizes just so they're all in the shot.
Normally I consider it to be annoying if you notice it but not a big deal, but in this case it's ridiculous because it's a plot point in the finale that Finn grew up yet a few hours earlier in the storyline he's half as tall as he is later.
If the show is gonna make his height significant keeping it at least a little bit accurate is to be expected.
FOP got flanderized to fuck, so it wouldn't surprise me if that last one was a late season.
Regardless, Sugar's shows are notorious for not using character reference sheets and Steven measuring up to someone's ankle in one scene but to their waist in another. In other words, sloppiness/laziness.
Are you talking about the height differences?
Or the lack of hands in the second picture?
Finn lost his right arm, the hands isn't inaccurate.
Each picture is from Season 1, 2, and 3, respectively.
That makes sense. That's a bit more forgivable than shots in the same episode.
What a waste of a great song. When I heard it playing acoutiscally at comic con I was genuinely curious on where it would play.
The way it sounded, it could have been perfect if had involve Finn and Jake personally and lead to something bittersweet.
Then it turns out it's just some shit BMO comes up on the spot and that can somehow beat the main threat. It doesn't help they have to have dialogue constantly interrupt it.
okay why do the characters need to be the exact same height in every scene? Depending on the angle or the shot it might just look better to have the characters look a certain way height and size is fluid in most animated things and I mean as long as the audience doesn't notice which I rarely see people notice it besides people who a purposely trying to nit pick and find something to complain about in the show it isn't really a problem right?
>okay why do the characters need to be the exact same height in every scene?
The same reason you make fluid animation, accurate sound engineering, and add detail to the scenery: immersion. If you don’t notice good for you, but continuity is a vital element for audience immersion. A constant character model is a part of continuity, a very cartoony cartoon (likw FOP) doesn’t need it too much, but AT and SU suffer from it.
>Depending on the angle
None of them are "low angle" or "high angle shots" so this is just misdirection at best. 99% of perspective in these shows is straight on from the side. Don't make excuses for lazy animators. It's OK to like a show but recognize they took a shortcut or didn't care enough to animate a scene properly. Being a fanboy running interference for all criticism is never excusable.
Having character sheets and making all your animators stick to them is bare-bones basic expectation. There's no excuse for not doing it except being "afraid" your coworkers will dislike you. A boss's job is not to be everyone's best friend, it's to ensure a quality product.
maybe its the armor, it could be designed to make her taller, also can't PB shapeshift a bit anyway? She's made of gum
Sugar at least had the sense to set up a relationship for her main character and follow through. But nah Finn has to be lonely sad boy all of a sudden and get molested by LSP.
damnit why did you post that now you know who is gonna come
>maybe its the armor
I haven't seen an armor that makes you two feet taller.
I don't think she's ever been portrayed as completely amorphous. She only ended up smaller once when half her mass was corrupted and unusable. Sounds like excuses to me.
I wonder if Finn and FP would’ve ended up like Steven and Connie if she stayed.
well two feet is a lot but armor, especially large boots adding height is normal
and becoming slightly taller to be more imposing during a war is hardly being amorphous
but yes they are just excuses, this is AT they make animation errors so bad they made entire episodes to try and excuse their errors
Connverse didn’t happen. She doesn’t like Steven
How does AT not count as "very cartoony"?
