We just passed WHERE DO THEY SHIT and woops accidental racism over in Tex's E2 thread.
You must share in reliving this pain OP

not even with a rented dick

Hello, Storyteller.

Kinda hard to believe we've reached the end. It's been a fun, weird ride.

Thanks OP for going this far.

it really has, because I still can't believe I now have robo waifus and husbandos

You know, I did pop over there because I'd forgotten the best part of WE was that the writer did these weekly chats about his own book and holy shit was he fucking stupid

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-003.jpg (1987x3056, 115K)

LEEEEEEEEEEEEEET'S DO THIS!

Okay but OP, what if we just base our entire mythos off of Magic The Gathering?

>I now have robo waifus and husbandos
Who are they all? I only remember Rung, ironically.

You know I think I saved those because I was continually impressed *how* devoid of understanding of the comics universe they were, but also because they didn't even have their own gonzo creativity. They were just shit. SHIT

NOW I'M GETTING FUCKING MAD AGAIN

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-004.jpg (1987x3056, 1.57M)

Rung is top tier, but Nautica and Windblade are waifus

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-005.jpg (1987x3056, 2.39M)

Windblade Chromia Nautica Rung Rodimus Optimus Megatron for OP off the top of my head.

Wilson was on E2:S for 9 issues before we got Abnett, he got a total of around 35 issues of E2.

One day Im gonna find James Robinson in a pub and offer him a line of coke for every plot thread he had lined up for E2

Excellent taste all around. Megatron is my sole husbando, though I ship him with Magnus. They were finishing each other's sentences like an old married couple!

I'd already jumped ship on E2 by the time that weekly hit. I read the first trade though...and feel I was right to quit when I did.

I know he probably doesn't want to talk about it and shit, but I JUST WANT TO KNOW SOME OF THE BACKSTORY ANSWERS, FUCK

THIS IS A GOOD LIST OF BOTS

THIS IS ALSO GOOD

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-006.jpg (1987x3056, 2.41M)

I know original JRo probably has significant coke tolerance but I still think you'd kill him.

Sky Lynx, Cosmo (RIP), Windblade, Megatron, Rodmius

Hey OP.

You mean the end... for now.

The first 3? were alright, but if you didn't gel with the first, its underatandable, it was a slow burn with Robinson.

And then it was a trash fire

>I still can't believe I now have robo waifus and husbandos
>Storyteller is now 'closer to god', as it were
To be perfectly honest, I too scoffed at first at the idea of robots being attractive. After all, how could a machine be sexy or lovable? Well, it's pretty easy to understand when they turn out to be fascinating characters. Once you get invested in their stories, you start to notice that servos, metal plating, and motors are really nice to look at, and-Oh. There it is.

That mythos has also fucked up wikis with people unable to realize that isn't how the Green/Red/Rot/Grey/etc worked in Swamp/Animal man books.
It's caused a lot of wiki fights

Oh and Bumblebee right? Maybe more a hugbando than a husbando.

Imagine getting mad at this instead of Slide

You like good bots, user.

I don't waifu or husbando any Transformers. I daughteru Stardrive.

I dreaded Taylor from the start and I was absolutely vindicated in my continuing dislike for him. He's a smarmy clichefest who's inordinately proud of himself, and the particular thing he pulled with E2 is one of my absolute rage buttons, that being:

He rolls around in the ultra-violence, maiming people gratuitously, and then ENDS that arc with a smug lecture about how Evil Superman is Edgy and we're bad for wanting it at all, in which Val-Zod the pacifist wins with no actual challenges to his worldview or methodology. I hate that shit so fucking much.

Thanks user, here's hoping they all live in the next continuity.

Are you suggesting OP run the MtG comics from the 90s?

>spoiler
Same.

Boy this is relevant

It's amazing these comics didn't catch on more with the mainstream progressive people, I only ever seen Transformers people talk about them now

Earth 2 literally decided to make Avatars of stuff (like Swamp Thing) for ever deck colour in MtG

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-008.jpg (1987x3056, 2.12M)

Yeah, Wilson was literally, I shit you not, "I thought of MtG and how cool that would be!"

uhhh, yeah, it really is, isn't it?

At a certain point I'll switch it out with hookers.
I'm actually surprised Johns didn't let more of Robinsons E2 ideas slip into Stargirl.

That sounds hilarious, not only did they desteoy the E2 mythos but they let it leak into those guys AND the New Gods.
>Barda the Betrayer

I actually enjoyed Robinson's run...but after that, everything just fell apart. Status quo and creative team changes every few months, destroying the Earth etc.

>rolls around in the ultra-violence, maiming people gratuitously, and then ENDS that arc with a smug lecture about how Evil Superman is Edgy and we're bad for wanting it at all

I thought you were talking about Tom Taylor, not Geoff Johns?

Also Robinson's run was so much fun as a monthly read because we were all guessing about the hints and the backstory, which is one of my favorite games in serial fiction.

Aww! Babby Pax is so pure.

>Val-Zod the pacifist wins with no actual challenges to his worldview or methodology.
This. This is why Val sucks. Again, I like the idea of a pacifist Superman, but you have to actually do something with it. Val gets it free, which makes the entire exercise pointless.

Got so into vidya last night that I missed the thread. See you all when this is over.

A Superman that won't actually fight to defend the innocent, is proof that "different" doesn't necessarily mean "good" when it comes to ideas. What's even the point of Val?

>It's amazing these comics didn't catch on more with the mainstream progressive people
They sorta did; the IDW Phase 2 stuff really brought in a new wave of adult fans separate from the Bayfags.

Nothing about TransArcee was good storytelling.

At least Johns didn't do that with JSA, although I do agree the TT stuff was ugh

I laughed so hard when Abnett gave Val some actual things to struggle with

Honestly--and you know me, I don't usually say this about legacy characters--it was 100% Taylor getting to pat himself on the back about how progressive and non-racist he was.

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-011.jpg (1987x3056, 2.09M)

>Pyra getting the same shit she used to give
Delicious.

Cut from the same cloth, but at least Johns knows some history aboyt the characters he's writing

You just know he has an entire story bible hidden away somewhere, I just hope he didn't burn it when he left the book. I need to try find Scotts unused art for Robinsons unreleased issues some day

Starscream is Rakdos, Soundwave is Dimir, Shockwave is Dimir, Megatron is Orzhov.

Attached: Optimus Prime 025-012.jpg (1987x3056, 2.71M)

Dohohoho. Cop, scientist, librarian and dockworker are all Orion Pax jobs from various continuities.

No Velocity?

you just described a lot of Robinson's work too.
Killing off most of JLE during Starman, the entire Cry for Justice debacle

He'd just come off Injustice where he wrote evil Superman and a dead Jimy/Lois so this was his "apology", rxcept he spiced it up as black Superman, turned Jimmy into a boy genius and turned Battle Angel Tornado into Robois
