Also why did they always portray her like she was in the right in every situation she was in? Especially in the final scene where Kuvira is captured and Suyin just treats her like garbage. Literally the most insufferable character in the entire series.

The lesson of her character was that life isn't fair, not all good deeds go rewarded, sometimes selfish people get everything they want and no consequences. Sometimes shitty things happen to good people for no reason, and sometimes good things happen to shitty people.
Did Bryke attempt “complex and layered” character writing wth characters like this and korra? Like they’re trying some kind of bs subversion of what is truly good and evil, and that bad people can be “good”.
