Superman

There’s too much negativity and horniness in this board, so let’s try to light up our spirits shall we?

My favorite run is the one where Superman gets fucked up the ass by Kryptofuck and dies, causing all the Superfags to cry forever.

That’s fair, personally I consider All Star Superman by Morrison and Quitely and “Whatever happened to the Man of Tomorrow?” by Moore and Swan as some of my favorite stories.

>Favorite runs, arcs, and annuals?
For the man who has everything, All Star Superman, Last son of Earth, Peace on Earth
>Favorite supporting characters?
Power Girl for reasons.
>Favorite villains?
Brainiac
>Favorite era and time period?
All eras maybe excluding the modern one which I just don't care as much about.
>Favorite Superman writers and artists?
Byrne and Morrison. Also Mark Waid. Favorite artist is Alex Ross followed by Max Fleischer for his work on the animated series.
>What are your thoughts on BMB’s recent departure from Action Comics and the main Superman books?

Superman is a fucking like bitch, plastic man is better in every way and still has a chance to at a good movie/show/games/comic/etc, unlike that big red and blue alien piece of sun sucking shit

That's a lot of salt

It’s best to ignore the trolls and salt shakers, especially when it’s summer break and it’s still quarantine for a large part of the country.

Don't care. The book hasn't been good for decades and won't be ever in the future.

Honestly 40's because with each passing year is becoming harder to modernize his origin if we want him to live in Kansas farm.
But he really fitted in the time between 90's and 2000's.
>Favorite Superman writers
Mark Waid.
Mark Millar.
Grant Morrison.
Geoff Johns when he doesn't do multiversal bullshit for justifying why Supes is a good guy.
>and artists?
Curt Swan
Frank Quitely
>What are your thoughts on BMB’s recent departure from Action Comics and the main Superman books?
The current Bendis's Superman is bad, it has a lot of ideas but lack of substance and soul.
I have no idea what could happen to AC thought.

Maybe if Superfags stopped being board parasites, maybe you wouldn't get people shitting on you constantly. Oh wait, you can't. Stopping would require an actual brain.

Superman makes me horny

Putting everyone under the same umbrella is retarded.
There's a wide variety of characters that I discuss and Superman is just one of them. OP made a thread so I answered it.
If you want to discuss something else make a thread about it and stop whining.

>Honestly 40's
patrician

Don’t respond to him mate, it’s clear he just wants attention.

>Moore's Supreme
Based.

I read an interview years ago about a Superman writer who, for his last year on the title, decided that he would write Superman stories where Superman didn't throw a single punch or anything like that. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the writer or the run, anyone know what it is?

>Putting everyone under the same umbrella is retarded.
If Superfags can make boogeyman out of anyone they dislike even remotely, then why can't we?

Anything by Alan Moore. Despite being an asshole and having utterly renounced the character later in life. When he was a young man. He wrote some of the best Superman stories.

This seems to be the case with a lot of writers and even directors.
I fear the day I grow senile and start embarrassing myself or spitting on what I once was.

Vocal minorities don't represent everyone. For all you know the person you're referring to can be a singular entity or 2-3 posters. Don't mistake the few for the many.
And this is also the last time I address you, so peace.

Casey.

You're all just the same thing at the end of the day. No point in making an attempt to distinguish you from the rest, when it's all the same cancer.

Thanks, appreciated

I'm admittedly pretty casual as far as Supes is concerned. Definitely have shown more interest as time has gone on and the USA has fallen apart before my eyes about a million times. Nice to have a little I guess nobleness and good naturedness even if its fiction I guess. I liked Tomasi's run quite a bit then again I haven't read many others, at least when I read them it was more spottily. I've read and enjoyed For All Seasons, All Star Superman and a few others.

Supporting characters? I like Jon, 90's Kon, and Jimmy.

Villains: I like seeing him battle Darkseid, Black Adam even if he's not his proper villain, and obviously Lex.

Never did bother with Bendis. Doesn't seem like I missed anything good.

The most cancerous person in the thread has been you retard. I have no doubt you’re the same faggot who made all those retarded power level threads. Why don’t you go back to YouTube?

>Honestly 40's
I honestly consider the 50s and 60s to be peak Superman when it came to creativity and overall cape goofiness, but the 40s are also a good era for Supes.

You admited to be a casual, that's good.
Now, first rule of non-casuality
Superman villains are HIS villains, not
>Darkseid, Black Adam
That are totally different rogues despite other hack writers forcing them

Most of Zig Forums is full of massive casuals so I’m just working my way through Superman’s publishing history.
Bendis’ time on the books has been alright. Far better than Tomasi or Jurgens although Zig Forums will never admit that given how much they hate Bendis’ Jew ass. But Bendis isn’t leaving anytime soon: twitter.com/brianmbendis/status/1270576490048962560?s=21
My guess is he’ll leave next year after Death Metal

>I honestly consider the 50s and 60s to be peak Superman when it came to creativity and overall cape goofiness, but the 40s are also a good era for Supes.
I would say that he born in the 1930, becomes Superboy in the 40's and he has the cape goody adventures in the 50's and 60's
