I fucking hate her

I only started watching this show recently but have seen Peggy get nothing but shade whenever its brought up. I think if you have or had someone in your life who shares traits with her like passive aggressiveness, you're a lot less likely to see her purpose in the overall narrative of the show and just see red every time the show puts focus on her mental gymnastics.

Probably one of the worst examples of Flanderization out there. She started out as well meaning person with a mild touch of Dunning Kruger but they just piling it on thicker and deeper.

For me it's that Peggy doesn't seem to have a sense of loyalty to anyone. When she sabotaged Bobby's Thanksgiving meal just because he's a better cook she any positive feelings I had for her were gone.

I wouldn't watch the show when it was airing because I just thought it was boring hick boomer cancer, and I hated Hank too. I still don't really like him, but I'm glad I waited to watch it, so that I could enjoy it to its fullest and not let any of that bullshit bother me.

Shes's bad but she doesn't ruin the show. You need to learn how to either ignore her onscreen or just laugh at her.

I never had a big issue with Peggy but the difference is that Rick is actually a genius who can back up his narcissism.

I have never heard anything about Kathy Najimy being crazy.

Rick being a narcissist doesn't make sense to me, it seemed pretty clear that he hates himself and is constantly trying to escape in some way shape or form, but maybe that's still narcissism, and it just doesn't add up. He has a laundry list of flaws but that one never occurred to me.

If she is she's done a damn good job of keeping it out of the press. She really only pops up in the news doing run of the mill minor celebrity charity stuff.

rick being the cunt that he is was fun because the show was so unrealistic, most characters were one note and rick was just on that fun self indulgent nonsense. him being a cunt stopped being as good when they tried painting him as having some empathy in him, and making him just a reasonable and complex realistic person instead of this absolute god that can get away with everything because his character is written to be that way

thats why words like "mary sue" are meaningless if you only see a character, and not the context that theyre in or the show their from

well she's narcissistic/BPD and is incapable of learning or developing in personality, so of course she is and will always be terrible. She wasn't even grateful when she narrowly avoided getting sent to Mexican prison, she thought that an injustice was being posed against her.
