Doubtful, honestly it just wasn’t funny or clever, it was just a show about pushing the line in the most dull and crass way. Look at uncle ruckus, he’s a offensive character in a show and has clever execution but he’s not there all the time all screen. A better example would be South Park, it isn’t a particularly smart show, but usually whatever it does usually has a point/ mocks a point that adds a extra layer of meta humor that makes it interesting. Like a poop episode on South Park usually specifically mocks a person or idea (think shit coming out of mouths or duck spewing shit), while drown together just has 1min straight farts as jokes or that shit on pizza episode. I don’t enjoy poop and pee jokes honestly but they can be done to where they’re at least amusing. And even more so, Drawn together doesn’t have much rewatch ability because it’s all shock humor and after you get past that it’s just another boring “adult” show. I will given some credit though with getting away with so much female nudity/ makeouts

but in all seriousness it was primarily production costs and lengthy per-episode production schedule. Ratings were consistently decent and had a respectable viewerbase, writing was definitely hit or miss depending who ya ask.

Sometimes, I feel the jokes were to make fun of edgy jokes themselves. Like: The joke is that we are being edgy, look at how edgy dumb we are being haha we don't take ourselves seriously.
