I hated it too. There was no reason they should've wasted all that money on a new couch they were just going to burn. I feel bad for Bob because this is the episode I wanted everyone to listen to him for once. It's less important to the other Belchers because it wasnt their fucking money.

On an added note, it makes me sad in general when something happens to Bob that makes him poorer than he already is due to no fault of his own.

Yeah Bob was the one who wanted to go get the old couch back.

Family Fracas isn’t great but it’s higher on my list than this one and The Garden ep had a really great song that saves the episode

I know this show was never big on having good animation, but I noticed a downgrade with the past few seasons. Funnily enough, they look more like their S1 selves again.
