Annie is the worst example of doing character growth wrong. She got absolutely no personality traits now, she is bland without old flaws. She used to be a curious girl with a poker face, now she is...nothing.

Without annie robot wouldn't have been made, at least in a way where he was directly tied to kat and the group and a lot of the robots actively worshiping her was his proselytizing her every action throughout the comic. The robots are key to her powers, because the believe she can do these things, the ether makes it so; even retroactively.
I think she had the potential to get there herself, but its possible she would have kept her mind trained to the immediate physical world, school and the like more-so, like her parents.

TLDR: maybe she would have still, but it was definitely at least sped up by annie getting kat involved as much as she did.

I always get in trouble in these threads when I say it, but I think splitting her into two Annies was a mistake. It feels like Tom has leaned too hard into the weirdness and oddness of Annie being able to talk to herself, and as a result of that we haven't gotten to delve into Annie's psyche more, which we really should be doing again. Because we have TWO Annies, we can't get really intimate and up close with the REAL Annie, because which of them even is the "real" Annie? Hell, according to that ether judge the "real" Annie isn't even in the comic any more.

The two Annies thing has been dragged on for too long and it's been bad for Antimony as a character.

If I could, I would go back in time and convince my younger self NOT to read this trainwreck.

To be fair, her curiosity has forced her to deal with shits like Coyote and the court. Kill a cat enough times with curiosity and it will get sick of your bullshit.

Seriously, she should absolutely be in "sort my own shit out" mode right now. There's fucking two of her and neither of them are in the right fucking universe. That's more personal problems than most.

Pokerfaced, determined, and introspective will always come across as bland but she genuinely doesn't have enough leeway to not be right now. If anything, Annie is just realizing she has terrible judgment.
