We just had this thread the other day. Kys.

OP here to get things going
>Favourite Superman Era (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Modern, Nu52, Rebirth)
Bronze, but I love all eras except for Rebirth
>Favourite Elseworlds/Alternate Superman
This one is really tough, I'm not counting Morrison's Superman runs as elseworlds so I'm leaning toward Red Son Superman, not the story but the character. But there are alot of good alternate Supermen
>Favourite single issue
Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon's for the Man who has Everything, with a mention to the story it was inspired by Superman 141 by Jerry Siegel and Wayne Boring. There is so many good single issues especially pre-crisis but this is the top for me.
>Favourite Story Arc
Grant Morrisons Action Comics
>Favourite Live Action Film
Man of Steel
>Favourite Live Action Actor for Superman

>Favourite Writer
Grant Morrison
>Favourite Artist

>The image you most associate with Superman
Posted one of them in OP but this will do, not exact but just a general image of Superman by Curt in the 70s and 80s, another image is the famous cover of Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow where he is flying towards the reader

Attached: Superman.jpg (300x643, 104.83K)

Great taste user, never even seen that image. I love Kelly and Jorge Jimenez too, they are both often overlooked.
Here is the cover I was referring to
But its Superman Day today

>Favourite Superman era
Silver age
>Favourite Elseworlds
Multiversity Mastermen / Secret Identity
>Favorite Single issue
For the man who has everything / Return to Krypton / Showdown between Luthor and Superman / Funeral in Smallville / I know Clark Kent is Superman and I can prove it
>Favorite Story Arc
Not a lot of contenders since I haven't ever been fond of many multi issue Superman stories, and they only began in early to mid 2000s, which is not my favorite Superman era. Maybe Morrison's Action Comics run.
>Favourite Writer
Alan Moore
>Favourite Artist
Curt Swan

>Multiversity Mastermen
I read Superman Beyond and Overman seems like a cool character

bump

Everyday should be Superman day.

>Favourite Superman Era (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Modern, Nu52, Rebirth)

My favourite era of the books is Modern (first Big 2 series I collected) but I think Nu52 Superbro got pretty shafted. He was a good update of Golden Age but DC wouldn't give him much of a chance. Hoping now that he's bopping around in the Depressoverse with the 7 Soldiers he'll land somewhere he can punch some cops.

>Favourite Elseworlds/Alternate Superman

President Superman, again, another Grant Morrison tweak on Supes that's been barely tapped to its full potential. Can you imagine a story that's White Activist Superbro vs Black Establishment Superprez? That could be pretty interesting, hint-hint, DC.

>Favourite Single issue

Tough, but Superman Adventures 47's pretty high up there. It's a guest issue by Batman Adventures writer Kelley Puckett that's basically All-Star Superman condensed to one issue. Superman gets a terminal condition, "dies," becomes God-like, saves the world, Lois cries. Good shit.

>Favourite Story Arc

Gotta say Reign of the Supermen for nostalgia reasons. "Here's 4 examples of why 90s fads can't replace Superman, but 2 of them will be kino and get their own series anyway."

>Favourite Live Action Film

The original screenplay of Superman 3 without Richard Pryor that exists in my head or the fan-edit of Man of Steel/BvS that one dude did that managed to salvage both movies into one.

>Favourite Live Action Actor for Superman

There is only Reeve.

>Favourite Writer

Overall, Mark Millar (sorry, Grant)

>Favourite Artist

Tom Grummett

And finally
>The image you most associate with Superman

Golden Age Tom Grummett Superman ftw

>DC wouldn't give him much of a chance
This, I read through all of it recently and Action comics was generally great until DC shat the bed with Truth and forced everyone to do that retarded shit. Superman was decent-good outside of Lobdell as well, Paks BM/SM was great and don't need to mention Morrisons run.
>Hoping now that he's bopping around in the Depressoverse with the 7 Soldiers he'll land somewhere he can punch some cops.
I'm not sure if thats literally him? Either way Superbro is technically current Superman combined with Rebirth/PC Superman, but there is also a New 52 universe where he is running around as well now as of Doomsday clock. So we have potentially 3 superbros running around, feels good.
>Can you imagine a story that's White Activist Superbro vs Black Establishment Superprez?
Kino
>fan-edit of Man of Steel/BvS that one dude did that managed to salvage both movies into one.
I didn;t know this existed, I actually love Man of Steel and quite like the ultimate cut of BvS (outside of any JL setup), what does it get rid of?

>So we have potentially 3 superbros running around, feels good.

G.Mo has his own headcanon regarding shit like that, I think he is hoping one day in the future everything he's written will be collected as one big story, so his Action Comics run will end and this will be the next appearance of "his" Superbro. So I'm happy to just go with that, even though, yes, technically you are right.

The fan-edit's called Man of Tomorrow and it basically condenses MOS to half the movie, and the 2nd half is Batman trying to contain Superman after seeing him as a bomb waiting to go off. Gets rid of Pa Kent's stupid death (gives him a good one), the piss jar, the Lois in Africa shit, Batman killing, and actually makes you care about Superman when he dies via some very crafty editing. The only thing I wish they could have fixed was Amy Adams and the "Martha" thing but you're basically stuck with those. I hated both of these movies but I *love* this edit. youtube.com/watch?v=hR_3AoEzs_w

Hmm might check it out. I'm mixed on it axing Man of Steel content as I loved it all besides Lois at the end and "I think he's kinda hot". I think Batman killing worked because he was the antagonist in that movie pretty much, anyway will check it out.

As for Morrisons Superman stuff you are right, he has pretty much said he considers action comics superbro as ASS Superman when he is starting out (even though it doesnt line up completely, that's the same as all his Superman stuff they all link but don't have the exact continuity)

So like him I think of it all as the same character, Action Bro, JLA supes, final crisis supes, ass supes even if there are different details, retcons happen all the time anyway

Yeah, I like that DC's at that point where the retcon inconsistencies are a feature not a bug. To the point where even Bendis is using it as his way to bring back Conner and have everybody be like "sure, fine, we all got rebooted. Moving on." It's lazy but if DC's gonna DC, we might as well make the best of it.

I've only seen the original MOS once, but other than stuff that actively bothered me (Jon Kent's death, Zod's death, some cheesy dialogue, Superman trashing a dude's truck), I honestly can't remember anything of note that's missing. BVS gets the most hacking away, and I can really appreciate what a great visual film MOS is now. Anyway, I am really looking forward to the Snyder Cut now, which is not something I would have said before.

I liked Action Comics OK before JRJR came on and it turned into a Naomi/Young Justice side-book

funnily enough I'm not and I'm the one who actually liked those movies, all the retarded shit I hate in BvS was setting up his JL
