In all honesty, I think Hera and Athena’s bribes would have brought a lot of stress. Aphrodite’s promise of a waifu would have been preferable, if there wasn’t that ridiculous stipulation attached to Helen, which I don’t think she told him about. Of course it’s the worst decision in hindsight not just because of the war but also because Hera and Athena are way more powerful than Aphrodite and you can’t trust a Greek deity to not be petty, but I think a lot of us would have given her the apple.
