The Northuldra, the Forest Spirits, and the Enchanted Forest in general. What the hell does Disney do with them from here on out? Obviously they'll need to be in Frozen 3 to some degree, even if it's merely having Elsa say "Farewell, my new friends, I'm going to take part in the plot now." But beyond setting up Elsa, do we really want to see the Northuldra or the Forest again? Will the Spirits follow Elsa around wherever she goes? I feel like Nokk might and Gale already makes frequent trips back and forth between the Forest and Arendelle as it is. Do they try and make Honeymaren a character or do they just leave her as "that one native girl in Frozen II?" Do they try and correct their mistake of having the Northuldra be essentially meaningless and try to provide some deep Northuldra lore in Frozen 3? Are they forever stuck in the Enchanted Forest (plot wise) or will they ever show up in Arendelle?

>Do they try and make Honeymaren a character
That ship has sailed. Honeymaren will probably get like 2 lines at most in a sequel. Her best chance would be a short centered around Elsa and her life in the enchanted forest.
if next film takes place in arendelle I think they have a high chance of appearing in a prominent role. I hope it doesn't take place in arendelle though. I want the characters to travel to some other region and encounter other magical shit in the world
Sorry but to go off topic but I would like to ask how this nightie is possible. I get the dresses, Elsa always has exposed shoulders and these kind of dresses while probably reserved for hookers do exist.
But pic related? How does this thin piece of cloth even stay up there and can she even wear a bra underneath?
>Her best chance would be a short centered around Elsa and her life in the enchanted forest.
Wrong
>Will the Spirits follow Elsa around wherever she goes?
Bruni, Gale and Nokk are all part of the team now. Earth giants are forever stuck in the forest, though. I wouldn't know how to make them work outisde of that place.

Who would/why would you wear a bra under your pajamas?
>Do they try and make Honeymaren a character or do they just leave her as "that one native girl in Frozen II?"
Honey isn't happening. She's not a popular character to the mainstream audience despite the shipping. And I'm pretty sure people despise her for being the one who told Elsa she should stay in the forest.
Everything about the earth giants is dumb. best to let them erode away in the forest
>She's not a popular character to the mainstream audience despite the shipping.
She may not be popular, but she's probably the only one whose name they can remember. At best, they MIGHT also remember Ryder's.
>And I'm pretty sure people despise her for being the one who told Elsa she should stay in the forest.
If Disney was worried about what audiences like or don't like Frozen II would've had a completely different ending. And plot.
The Earth Giants will show up at the very end for a last minute bail out for the heroes, a la Rexy in the original Jurassic Park against the raptors.
I think the northuldra are dumb, the spirits don't make any sense and magic is evil. Runeard was right and his granddaughter is a traitor who abandoned her kingdom to live with a bunch of savages. Fuck them all and spare no one except Bruni.
I know right? But how come this paper thin fabric shows us nothing?
Maybe Elsa lost so much of her breasts she doesn't actually have nipples anymore.
Why hasn't Disney made an Olaf short with Mattias yet?
>magic is evil
It's funny, when I first saw the movie and Runeard started talking about this exact thing, I was expecting it further cement Elsa as queen. That in his hatred he tried to destroy magic and instead ended up putting a magical queen on his own throne. It would be his ultimate defeat to be forgotten to history while Elsa went on to become a beloved queen and leader.
And instead she just leaves and puts Anna in charge, which is exactly what Runeard would have wanted. He may have failed to destroy the Northuldra, but as a consolation prize Arendelle is no longer ruled by a magic queen. His ghost probably threw a party the day Elsa left.
F
Based King Runeard.
Soon Anna will understand he wasn't entirely wrong.
>"Magic isn't bad!" Elsa declares triumphantly at the snow statue of King Runeard. "It's good and happy and wondrous!"
>"It's okay, Anna, I've got you. Mama! Papa!" screams a snow statue of child Elsa as it cradles a snow statue of child Anna.
>"You sort of set off an eternal winter... everywhere," a nearby snow statue of Anna reveals timidly.
>"You froze her heart!" says a snow statue of Prince Hans. "Your sister is dead! Because of you!"
>"No one ever has a reason to fear magic!" Elsa continues, oblivious.
While Elsa and all these backwater people have some sort of fridays for future protest, queen Anna will make sure Arendelle is stronger than ever. Arendelle needs to expand. The duke of Weselton might be a bad person but Weselton is still an really important trade partner and the trading is resumed. Arendelle will focus on paper production now and that includes deforestation. If Elsa has a problem with that, well... Nobody shall defy the will of the queen.
All of this just because Elsa never apologised to Anna.
Humanity should leave the spirits behind, just like all other gods
>do we really want to see the Northuldra or the Forest again?
No. The forest was just a detour between Arendelle and Ahtohallan. There are no landmarks in the entire vicinity since the racist dam was demolished.
>Do they try and make Honeymaren a character or do they just leave her as "that one native girl in Frozen II?"
Leave her to three lines of dialogue at best. Audiences didn't respond to any new characters besides Pascal Mk. 2 and war horse.
>Do they try and correct their mistake of having the Northuldra be essentially meaningless and try to provide some deep Northuldra lore in Frozen 3?
Lee will try to address all "problematic" criticism but will just fuck things up further.
>Are they forever stuck in the Enchanted Forest (plot wise) or will they ever show up in Arendelle?
They're background characters now. Kinda makes all those African and Asian Arendellians moot in Frozen II though...
Frozen really needs to discuss the deadly nature of ice magic. Fun and beauty are not objective enough to justify it's use.
>She may not be popular, but she's probably the only one whose name they can remember. At best, they MIGHT also remember Ryder's.
Ryder maybe. I don't even recall Honeymaren's name being spoken in the movie.
>If Disney was worried about what audiences like or don't like Frozen II would've had a completely different ending. And plot.
They are and it did. The original was to kill off Elsa, flurry up Olaf, and wash out Arendelle. Disney probably would have scrapped the entire story if it wasn't so far in production or Lee wasn't CCO.
Just saw this yesterday. Not to be a history autist, but what's the deal with the weaponry? They use medievl looking swords and shields, but the rest of the setting clearly takes inspiration from 19th century what with the uniforms and photography and railroads(assuimg the tracks are not just for pump wagons). Could it have worked if they had used guns in both this and the previous film? Does black powder not just exist in their world? In the first film they used swords and I thought it was okay, but shields just made it somehow really jarring for me.
Modern media isn't allowed to have guns anymore.
If not guns, why not even a different style of swords, even pikes could work. Shields just seemed so off.
Maybe Captain America made shields popular again? I dunno...
