are there any western comics in which characters apply the same level of thought and strategy in using there supper powers that one might find in a manga like hunter x hunter.
Strategic super powers
What is the "oh my rubber nen" of Zig Forums
>thought and strategy
>oh my rubber nen
lol
Honestly HxH combat gets a little too complicated with everyone hyper-analyzing every move and having ten levels of strategy and feints and "I knew you knew that I knew that you knew that I'd do that so I did this to make you think that I thought that I'd think you'd do this!"
Not a comic, but Wild Cards is a cape shit Novel that has very interesting, strategic and well though out situations involving the characters superpowers, not unlike what we would have latter with Jojo or Hunter X Hunter. Other than that you're shit out of luck pal.
literally every time a supper hero is brought back to life.
"oh my rubber nen"
was only memed so hard because people felt it flew in the face of something deeply thought out.
though i personally still found it believable with the rules and explanation given
Every time a superhero has to fight some one stronger than them they have to do it strategically.
Anime's flaw is that they just make the character stronger to solve problems, even the stand user types are just telling you "my stand is stronger than you think" when therir used in some obscure way..
what is this referring i dont watch Joji is it accurtae Lol?
Jojo has some bullshit but its entertaining. Like Zipper fag un zipping his arm to extend his punch
Batman in the justice league
try the red one maybe?
not that many iconic quotes during fights
or 35 minutes ago regarding shitposting
No. Comics aren’t about that.
HxH is so overrated by you weebs
>O MY BEWARE MY POWER
The only one I can think of is Uber, and even then is less strategy during the fight and more strategy during the battles as a whole.
Its super accurate. Like see this guy getting massacred by his own bullets?
Its all part of his plan to get fill with bullet holes.
Pretty accurate, reminds me of the scene where Jotaro used a magnet to move in time stop because he planted another magnet on dio while getting his shit kicked. Except he was banking on it being figured out because it was really to trick dio into thinking it was a trick because jotaro could actually move in time stop.
I like HXH but it turned into a subpar JoJo in the later parts, togashi even started using the same naming conventions
Mutha fuckin magnets.
you have Kinnikuman to thank for that
No western comic can compare with Hunter x Hunter in terms of well thought out powers and power system. Shonen babies and capeshit fags willnever understand the struggle of a true hunterchad.
Chimera Ants arc is literally the peak of comics. No western shit can come even close to touching it.
Are you talking about the boat and dark continent arc? I just want to see based Chrollo finish killing the pedoclown.
>try the red one maybe?
I'm still undecided on if this is a super stealth Windy City Heat reference. I mean...why as the red bat even there?
>Shonen babies and capeshit fags willnever understand the struggle of a true hunterchad.
yes it sucks that a bunch of anime doesn't seem as good or ends up looking trash when looking back on them after watching hxh.
It's kind of accurate. A lot of the dumb bullshit of his plan is similar to stuff that actually happened but not all at once.
I'm less knowful than average here about superheroes, but Spider-Man is pretty crafty when using web.
Stronger superheroes tend to be dumber in combat.
Superheroes without powers like Batman are intelligent overall even when they fight.
I remember the Invisible woman be pretty intelligent herself when the situation calls for it (not combat wise, but when doing intelligence work)
Magnets > time
No which makes me mad since hunter hunter is just edgy naruto and I'd rather watch something else.
The fuck? Its just almost the same as the spider arc, but with goku vs cell bullshit.
The best for me is the spider arc, it was more personal, even though the stakes were lower than chimera's. And the writing is a lot better
>yes it sucks that a bunch of anime doesn't seem as good or ends up looking trash when looking back on them after watching hxh.
This is the life of a hunterchad. We know this truth and must accept it. Let the capeshit fags and shonenbabies squabble-their eyes are blinded from the truth.
York New City and Chimera Ants were peak HxH but Chimera Ants is truly on another level. You need to give the CA arc a thorough reread if you think Goku vs Cell is even close to comparable to is.
>Mereum is one of the greatest characters in fiction.
>Togashi's page layouts are god tier in the CA arc.
>shonenbabies will never know or understand this truth
>western capeshit babies still think that Greg Rucka and Tom King are good writers FFS
>>Mereum is one of the greatest characters in fiction.
Shut the fuck up. He is at best a great anime villian. One that most people would forget
