World building is good, characters are interesting, fights scenes are well put together, color scheme is pleasant, mystery aspect is cool (what happened to the humans and when), death actually happens off screen, and animation is beautiful/smooth. That enough for you?

Black people exist, and so day gay people. I’m season 1 the gay thing is brought up 3 time over 10 episodes and probably make up less than 3mins of the total run time

1- him saying he’s gay so kipo isn’t hurt by his rejection
2 - very lightly alluded to when he’s in that dream world by the water bear at a party and the dance floor is all guys. Like if you didn’t know he was gay you would’nt have noticed
3 - he has a very brief meet cute and stutters when he sees a guy

I’m season 2 you get a lil more look at their relationship but it’s written in very normal way, in that if it was a normal relationship you wouldn’t care/ mind it. And again it takes up VERY little run time about less than 5 mins of the entire season and it doesn’t play or effect any of the rest of the plot

The show isn’t pandering or forcing a message it’s just showing these people exist and then doing their own thing, it’s only in your face if you’re faggot and reee at two gays having a sub 5 sec cheek peck and brown people simply being on screen. The show is legit good and op is a faggot

I watched episode 10 the other day and it's a dumb show. Yes, the "I am gay!" thing was contrived and so dumb (They're like, what, 12? In the middle of a life-and-death predicament? In a post-apocalyptic world? Do 'gay' and 'straight' even mean anything anymore?).

But there is so much else. The world would not look like that 200 years after humans disappear. A bunch of animals that talk like humans do, in perfect, modern-day English. A bunch of animals behaving an awful lot like humans do, and look to be semi-humanoid.
Comestibles that are still fit for consumption after 200 years.
