Paul Dini conspired with one of the great magicians of comics to make his waifu real. It was probably Grant Morrison, given that Dini and Morrison were both writing comics for DC at the same time. Dini's waifu has always been Zatanna, and he struck a deal with Morrison for him to use his magick to bring her into the real world so Dini could marry her. That's who "Misty Lee" actually is, and why she seems to come out of nowhere in Dini's biography.
This may have been the entire point of the Seven Soldiers story. Seven Soldiers may purely exist so Morrison could conjure Zatanna into the real world for Dini to marry.
Dini obviously owes a huge favor to Morrison for this, because nothing is free in magic. I am not sure if Dini has paid this favor off yet.
