DEATH MAKES NO SENSE

Why is death treated as so special in capeshit?

Hulk not being able to bring Widow back is bullshit. On a cosmic, alien scale shouldn’t bringing back the dead be easy? You’re telling me aliens in the MCU have devices that can rebuild a ship with the click of a button, tear through the fabric of reality, and many of regenerative blood yet bringing a human back to life by healing a few tiny cells is impossible? Hell in AoU that Korean lady had a tissue printer that was able to 1:1 rebuild Hawkeye’s skin. HYDRA made fully functional prosthetics in the 1950s. (If AoS was canon, that extends to like-real hands, full on resurrection with Kree blood, and recreating people 1:1 completely without even needing a body with the Framework, but it’s not canon so.)

Yet the magic stones that give the same power of creating a universe couldn’t? Thanos himself was going to use the stones to build a NEW FUCKING UNIVERSE. Bringing back one petite woman was hard?

Also why is death limited by magic? The whole point of Doctor Strange is resurrection of the dead is impossible. But why? Heal a few cells here and there and you’re fine. It’s easier to time travel, punch holes in reality, and travel to other universes than it is to heal a couple cells? Which also brings up Strange not being able to heal his hands as bullshit, but whatever. Why not just get an arm like Bucky’s?

You can't science back a soul, bro!

The Stones themselves prevent it. Kind of a catch 22, you need the Soul Stone to bring her back, but it won’t let you because you can’t use the Soul Stone to get her back since that’s how the trade works

what if used the time stone to go back before she made the sacrifice

Death is the terrifying wolf that's hounding the real god of these fictional universes: the writers. You can't expect any human living in the current era to be objective about it.

Well for one, the Stones are sentient. Even the Soul Gem used to be the only sentient one in comics for decades.
The Soul Stone isn’t going to give back a soul it took as payment.

Death is cheap in the comics, but it’s stupid how coming back to life is empathized to be impossible in the MCU

What about human cells makes them so “speshual” that none of your nano tech or magic can get them working again?

In the MCU, time travel is shown to be dimensional hopping.

And they literally do this by accident, bringing in another timeline’a Gamora. All they’d have to do is find a timeline where everything has gone to shit and Widow wants to leave.

Death being this super hard thing to reverse will be like how writers centuries ago wrote about humans on the moon

Laughably outdated

Throw her body in that Korean lady’s machine? Or hell, travel to space and get a more advanced one.

In a universe of gods and magic and aliens, fixing broken bones and her possible brain damage is impossible?

Unless it turns out that it is impossible because of factors we don’t understand

I mean, if you want we can go for the realistic answer and make it very easy for advanced technology to repair a body back to the state of supporting life, but unless the person has only been dead a minute or two at most they have massive brain damage. Thats what you really want, right? Bring back Tony Stark but he's a vegetable?

uh huh... Now factor in the level of technology we see in comics.

Any civilization that can produce an Iron Man or Lex Luthor level power armor should have solved that by now. Death is only a big deal in comics because it's a big deal to the meatbags reading them and writing them.

>Why is death treated as so special in capeshit?
Because the death and return of Superman killed the concept of death in comics. Once Superman could return and still sell comics, then other companies and characters followed suit.

Not all science advances at the same rate. The ability to make a suit of iron man armor is mechanical engineering, metallurgy, electrical engineering, and computer science. Nothing about it implies a similar level of sophistication regarding advancements in biology.

In World War 2, we developed radar, stealth technology, rockets, and the atom bomb. You know what we learned about medicine and biology in WW2? There was a study about the effects of starvation on the body in order to help plan reconstruction efforts. Notice how one of those is way, way less impressive than the others?

Advancement of biology has always lagged begin the other science to a massive degree, because even a single living thing is a tremendously complex system we can't accurately track the details of. Fucks sake, just 4 years ago we discovered we were reading DNA wrong and missing out on half the information it contained.

Thanos didnt dimension hop when he revived Vision

I can easily write a way to bring back Black Widow AND the original Gomorrah, but I like that they're both dead. Magically dead, not dead-dead.

>Hulk not being able to bring Widow back is bullshit.
To get the soul stone you have to sacrifice a soul to make it. You can't undo that.

By the time the Thanos situation is solved and they got to her I'm pretty sure degradation would be setting in, assuming there's no fauna on the planet that to pick her corpse clean they'd have to bring her shattered remains back and jump through the hurdles to repair it with as few complications as possible before they even think of trying to imbue it with life again. Assuming of course the soul stone doesn't spaz the fuck out at the deal being cheated by her coming back.

death only has weight in comics if it's permanent, but to my knowledge no current comic writer has the balls to do so.

>ITT
>HEAL BODY, BUT STILL DEAD??? MAKE NO SENSE
>no soul, no life
>BUT HEAL BODY????
>soul is gone
>MACHINE HEAL BODY THO??? WHY DEAD STILL??????
Holy shit OP is a fucking idiot.

He rewound time a few moments after he exploded. Vision also didn’t give his soul to the soul stone.

Even that wont happen, they cant dimension hop (yet) . They can only create alternate timelines, so the only way is kidnapp “past” widow and leave a timeline without a widow , the only downside its , that timeline avengers probably would get pissed and maybe plan a way to get her back...or that timeline avengers are doomed

>Any civilization that can produce an Iron Man or Lex Luthor level power armor should have solved that by now
By what fucking metric?

not Zig Forums but elaborate on that last sentence what the fuck

Wanda touched the cradle, and said Vision was "dreaming". Russo's said Wanda's magic is connected to her "inner life". Vision could feel emotions because of Chaos Magic within the stone.

Vision's essence went back into Wanda's subconscious once the mind stone was destroyed.

Hence his appearance in WandaVision. Its a legit fragment of him.

"Its ok, I'll just feel you."

Barret: "Did you try to heal Biggs and Jessie with your healing materia?"

Cloud: "Oh. I forgot about that....oops."

The soul stone ate her soul. There's no fixing that.

Nothing special about human cells.
But it's like cloning people -- I mean, in real life, not the comics.
If I burn a piece of paper, the writing on it is gone. There's no way to recover the information.
That's entropy.
You might resurrect a body; give it a heartbeat and breathing. But if the neural interconnections which make up your mind have deteriorated, all you have is a husk. Personality is formed by experience as well as genes.
A body genetically identical to Shakespeare or Einstein or Beethoven is unlikely to have the talent of the original.

Yeah. Fix the body but the brain is tapioca.
And, before anyone invokes "souls", please demonstrate they exist.

Basically, we knew what DNA does in a general sense but we kept running into problems where we would change a gene that we were SURE did one thing and would also accidentally change other stuff too, and we didn't know what that was happening because we only changed a single gene. For a while we assumed that a given gene must control multiple forms of expression, but had not made the connection why or how.

The revelation was that DNA is actually read in two different directions. Think of it like a CD where you have a bunch of files on it, but if you put it in the computer upside down you get an entirely different collection of files. Or a book that tells two very different, but grammatically correct, stories depending on whether you read it from left to right or right to left.

We were only reading one 'side' of the DNA, but when we were making changes we were changing the other side too and messing up whatever that part of the second side controlled without realizing it.

There was no logical reason not to save thors mom. The past was proven to be changeable

>Bring back Tony Stark but he's a vegetable
Yes

Souls aren’t real

Gee, it's almost like we're talking about a fictional setting where souls ARE real
