The cartoon was hilarious, made me wish there was a game (that was good) that had the cartoon's voice cast, specially Dan Castellaneda as Jim.

I don't think he hates the actual end product, just the process of working on it due to constraints and so forth.

In terms of humor I think a good comparison would be Freakazoid (which aired at the same time).

I don't thik Doug hates it, but I think the show's tone is different from the games. As in the show's tone is more Freakazoid while the game leans more towards Duck Dodgers + Ren & Stimpy.

I'm one of the few lunatics out there that liked Jim 3D. I also liked Castlevania 64, so figure that out.

Yeah, it's in line with Freakazoid but some of the jokes probably either sounded wittier and/or edgier on paper or the writers were simply not allowed to go all the way.

Neither of the 16 bits games are amazing, and the 3D one for the N64 is simply atrocious ( Doug wasn't involved in that one tho )
