Butch is one of my favorites and when I found out he was an avid Christian I was greatly disappointed but I got over it anyway. I don't know how to say this in a way that doesn't sound offensive but most christians don't exactly seem very educated. You do realize that "God can cure autism" is a claim that can be satisfied by any event whatsoever in which autism is thought to be present then disappears? If somebody invents a 100% effective autism drug tomorrow, it would still be possible to claim god did it by providing that man the means. If a child is misdiagnosed with it and then turns out not to have it, that's another one that they would chalk up to divine intervention.
