Just a self-contained Elseworlds that directly alludes to itself, at some throwaway point, as an Elseworlds. Well, he can't do that now. He has to wait 7 years for Snyder to get off DC's cock and for another writer to build up and execute some big, world-shattering event that ends up just being 52 again.

Because even shitty events try to have any sort of depth, this is the equivalent of a music video where the story is a back drop to flashy visuals. Comics only work when the art AND writing work in tandem.
