They lose their 2 highest syndicated shows (Family Guy and Bob's Burgers) next year. How fucked are they?
They lose their 2 highest syndicated shows (Family Guy and Bob's Burgers) next year. How fucked are they?
holy crap
tv is irrelevant. they should just be a web show and try to be a vice rip-off or something.
Don't be surprised if they take some risky bets hoping one of them pay off. Is Tuca and Bertie the next cult hit Adult Swim needs? Maybe some other show, or a new anime? They'll try things.
Actually they have Bob's Burgers until 2023 but they can only air the first 8 seasons. The newer ones rerun on FXX.
They'll replace Family Guy with Rick & Morty and Final Space.
people treat this like the end of the world, but it really isn't. sure, they're gonna lose those staples, but they still got rick and morty (major cash cow for now), bobs until 2023, american dad, final space, and tuca & bertie coming out (which will most likely rake in cash since people wanted that revived), so i don't think they're too fucked. they'll try new things to fill the fox-shaped hole though i'm sure
>I'm a retard who thinks replacing them with reruns of The Brak Show and Sealab 2021 will save the ratings!!!!!!
I can see people actually believing this.
I'm sure adult swim and WarnerMedia have plenty of adult animated content not owned by Fox/Disney that they can replace on the schedule. Even then, HBO Max will end up being the exclusive home for first run Cartoon Network content, including adult swim. Plus, Rick and Morty prints money. I'm pretty sure they'll be fine, user.
They might lose the 8pm time slot, but aside from that nothing too bad will happen. Besides, they have Rick and Morty, Tuca and Bertie, Final Space, and Smiling Friends to make up for any lost profits. They're gonna be fiiiiine.
God i hate final space
I just wish they'd circulate old hits more. ATHF and Boondocks could fill up an hour every day alone
Needs actual humor and to dial down the melodrama by about 50%. Drama in comedy's only works when it's used sparingly, especially comedy cartoons.
ATHF will come back. That's how. They're already bringing back Harvey and Ozmo.
Adult Swim has always been reddit
It has never been welcome on this board
problem is that they wanted drama but made a dipshit as a main character for 2/3rds of the run time of the show.
Better than Toonami morons who think weeknight anime will save tv.
Home Movies reruns at 8 PM BTFO anime reruns in the same slot.
I like this show, there are some apes though.
Oh I watched that episode, it's the one with this skull.
>harvey
oh
no
that guy from the daily show would only come back if they made the show about Trump
so
enterkey
the "harvey" revival is going to be about the birdgirl
There's a fight between writers in that show, I watched that episode you're talking about, the one with the apes, the monkeys kill the dinosaur but it's nullified in the next episode.
The next episode is an answer.
How are they going to air Tuca and Bertie? There were so many tits in that show, to the point that it almost felt like a defining stylistic element.
God I hate Rick & Morty.
>They lose their 2 highest syndicated shows (Family Guy and Bob's Burgers) next year
Sauce or you're making it up
Someone hasn't seen Moral Orel.
rick and morty has nowhere enough episodes to be played 1 or 2 episodes a day, EVERY DAY. maybe if they had like 8 seasons, yeah it could work. hell, not even 100 episodes would seem to last very quick if they aired 2 episodes every single day
>ignoring the weekly Toonami threads
newfag baka
They currently play it 7 times a week despite only having 41 episodes lol
What I would hope is airing of their good shows more often. athf, squidbillies, metalocalpyse etc. Stuff that would be cool but won't happen would be getting shows from other channels, like Moonbeam City. Or even better, getting King of the Hill back, comedy central pretty much does nothing with it.
Im sure Hbo will cut them a nice check to make a shitty original loosely based on passed ideas to host on Hbomax.
They tried to do what futurama did but with crappier pacing
More importantly any news on Smiling Friends?
Nice, now bring back King of the Hill and I'll watch again
