>Former “SpongeBob SquarePants” storyboard artist John Trabbic III had just gotten a greenlight from Nickelodeon for his own animated series, “Middlemost Post,” about a rain cloud that just wants to make everyone happy.
NEW ORIGINAL SERIES FROM NICKELODEON
Predictions Zig Forums: How many episodes will it get through before it is Nicktoons'd
>John Trabbic III
What kind of last name has a Roman numeral?
>rain cloud that just wants to make everyone happy.
it must of been a hella of pitch with a stellar pilot or concept art, because goddamn if that doesn't sound like the most generic concept for a cartoon I've heard in a while. It sounds like one of those cartoon ideas you see some character in a tv show come up, or from a joke involving a bunch of writers trying to think of a idea.
Should be interesting to see how things go.
Oh one of the artists I follow who works on Cuphead and Thundercats is also working on this.
It's a suffix you fucking moron.
His father's name is John Trabbic, Jr. who was named after his father John Trabbic, Sr. After Jr, it's Roman numbers from there. Not that you would know anything about fathers since you grew up without one to teach you basic things like this. I should be your father and teach you all the things your deadbeat father didn't teach you because he wasn't there.
I'm just happy it doesn't look like CalArts shit.
You don't see it very often because Jr.'s don't usually name their kid after them. I actually have a friend who has the Roman numeral III in their name, and I thought that was reserved only for monarchs before that.
10 in a bad time slot
Could you teach me how to dougie?
Can I call you daddy?
ChalkZone treatment: Delayed for two years with no reason given
OR
Wonder Park treatment: Disappears with no reason given
I know Wonder Park's case is a special situation, but has any other cartoon been disappeared before it's even given a chance?
>“This show, when [Trabbic] first pitched it to us, just was so unique,” Naito says. “It had all the qualities we look for. It was character driven. It had an ensemble that illustrated a really comedic relationship, with a backdrop that was fun and exciting. [And] it really feels original.”
>boarded on post-sequel SpongeBob
yikes
so I take it they are not happy with It's Pony or Ollie's Pack?
I guess not
this feels like having a stroke. holy shit
Nick never changes. I bet they said the same thing about Fanboy & chumchum
where is this going to be outsourced to?
knowing those recent tensions between North and South Korea I can see it being outsourced to Taiwan or the Phillipines
They worked with Netflix before, they could shove this on Crunchyroll of all places.
Ew, I can definitely see the nuspongebob in there too
I Heart Tuesdays
people talk about beanmouths but if there's one thing i don't like is rounded teeth
and no, not a vorefag
Why are there so many Nick protagonists who are hyperactive happy-go-lucky morons? It's really overused at this point.
Because this is what executives think kids want.
They want Spongebob again.
I'm still sad we never even got to see some concept art from that show. At least DreamWorks regularly shows us the promising new ideas that they were dumb enough to pass on.
Yep, and seeing how this guy worked on Spongebob was probably a reason they gave him the show
Hehe, his tie must be soaking wet
meant to say studios like Rough Draft Korea or Yeson Korea
It's Pony is average at best. Ollie's Pack was a fucking borefest with zero redeeming qualities.
Looks like someone actually took John K's philosophy to heart poor idiot
