Things that should have animated adaptations

A musical like Hamilton would do better as animation, than as live action.
What else?

>niggers

maybe they can make them white, like how the actual historical people were.

Yes, so they can be drawn as white

The actual historical people didn't burst into songs whenever they had an important character point to convey

You already have the musical 1776 for that.

this is Zig Forums, what wouldn't be better as an animation?

>Changing the one thing that made it interesting
Let me guess, and they shouldn't rap either?

Musicals are a form of performance art, animation removes the performance aspect.

It wasn't interesting, it was normie-popular.

>white people rapping

Did this Jogger just say...HAMILTON?

VOICE ACTING

Theatre geeks aren't normies.

it only got popular because it had brown people in it and it appealed to tumblr fujos. its not a good musical or even a good story

They absolutely are, just ask Schafrillas Productions

Did you guys went out of your way to find the same image or did you just save it on your computer for the past 3 years?

1776 was kind of ahistorical. Franklin wasn't Anti-Slavery until long after the war, and Jefferson's views on the matter could be viewed charitably as hypocritical and less charitably as downright schizophrenic. Damn good music though.

I wish actors put as much effort into acting as theatre people do.
But animation still doesn't do the makeup, acting (physical acting), or set design any justice. Again, musicals are a PERFORMANCE art, and because performances are done in front of a live audience removing the spectacle of the stage in favor of some moving pictures gets rid of the magic.
t. theatre geek

i literally just googled "trans thomas jefferson" and it was the first thing to pop up. its just THAT infamous

When you're watching a musical is not for the historical accuracy, that's why it's called an adaptation, you need to be aware it probably changed thing for the sake of dramatism.

There’s been so many animatics done by amateur animators on YouTube that you can just string them all together and it makes your ideal animated Hamilton movie

Someone needs to make a BM rap musical by Miranda. Holden must be played by a fat woman with an afro.

>maybe they can make them white, like how the actual historical people were.

its not trying to be historically accurate dumbass.

Gilgamesh, and epic myths in general. There should be way more stuff like Prince of Egypt.

gosh, you sure are resistant to the idea. I wonder why that might be.

Because you don't care about historical accuracy and are simply shitposting.

I like how you're trying to shame me for pointing at this debacle and laughing.

To be honest, it's kinda the point. You know they aren't telling you the history exactly how it happen, that they're taking liberties on how they go about it that if you want to know how it differs from actual history books you need to research.

Surprised no one mentioned cats
There even was an attempt by Spielberg back in the day.

It's ok to be white

Even if it meant making him a handsome black bishonen I'm happy Hamilton has done a lot to put Lafayette back in the public consciousness.

It could have being better. Cat's don't dance style.
