That's not what Zig Forums says. Adrenochrome is used by the elite as a means of perpetual (but not eternal) youth. The reason they connected it to young children is that there's massive pedophile rings (ie the Clinton Foundation abducting children from Haiti following their natural disasters) and adrenochrome is produced in fight / flight reflex moments, which would mean it would be massively dumped when being sexually violated. Add on the ancient Jewish tradition of blood libel (which recently made a resurgence in searching thanks to the infamous painting of "The Martyrdom of Saint Simon of Trent" this year) and Zig Forums's infatuation with antisemetism led to them connecting these dots.

First of all, adrenochrome is hard to produce, and that's a fact. The compound is a pain in the ass to make, and it becomes valuable the more studies are done to research its properties. This feeds the conspiracy because it can be synthesized from epinephrine, and /x/ or Zig Forums, etc. theorize then, that it comes from extreme pain, so they associate it with jews killing babies.

Second point, the compound is highly addictive, and that's been proven as well, just like how many other shit causes addiction. Sudden withdrawal from the substance causes psychosomatic phenomena, just like how junkies get fucked up whenever they don't have access to their drug.

So you've got a psych-modulating addictive molecule that's hard as fuck to produce, and you've got the perfect material for a conspiracy theory. That doesn't mean Adrenochrome is harmless, only that we gotta study it more carefully and not inject it into every single epileptic person, unless we assess the consequences in elaborated clinical trials.

Young people have always thought the occult is cool. That's why teenage girls LARP that shit and contributed to folk legends like Bloody Mary, witchcraft, astrology, etc. As culture has gotten less conservative and religious, it's only natural that those concepts are explored more in media.
