I thought it was nice

Because you are stupid and never noticed the glaring pacing, plot holes and terrible writing.

townie episodes

It existed.

Steven doesn't fuck the gems to give himself half-brother/sons.

Most people that actually watched the show liked it, obviously it was a show created by a pedo who had a lesbian fantasy, but that wasn't the source of problems

I thought it was alright, at least it wasn't whatever gay thing She Ra with everyone being a superfag.

Arcs with Lapis, and Peridot really show the best of what the series had to offer.

The conclusion was pretty solid and set us up for the movie and SUF, though the latter kinda deals with the problem of no longer having a visible overarching villain to fight anymore.

It's just not what people signed up for but the conclusion of leaving Beach City was excellent and a real tear jerker for those invested in the series contrary to what some neckbeards here might say. It's a cartoon, some people enjoy it, others feel the need to be angry little gremlins obsessed with pointing out flaws in something they don't have to watch or care about.

It's like a militant dogmatic teenage atheist talking about how much they hate the church because their dad spanked them one time.

Oh yeah, and it gave us shipping material.

What plot holes

Not gonna lie, even if i didn't mind this show, i don't miss it. It had its run. Heck, i don't even find myself rewatching it

AMETHYST WASNT SEXY ENOUGH IN THE LATER SEASONS

The ones you didn't see idiot..

>too much filler
>lazy writing
>anticlimactic conflict resolutions
>underdeveloped characters and unfinished arcs
>dropped plotlines and unanswered questions
the whole 9 yards

how the hell does this happen

They made unique and compelling characters for each of the gems at the onset, their issues were tragic, grave and actually connected to that characterization, but instead of actually resolving those conflicts the characters became sterilized, issues were removed along with the characterization they were connected to.

Rose went from being a foil to a pariah and scapegoat. Instead of each of the gems and Steven wanting to be Rose but better(highlighting her flaws as something natural), they instead had Rose become so unequivocally evil that nobody could be consider similar to her and instead was just a villain to blame all of their issues on.

A foil to what?

A foil to each of the gems. Rose was a leader who was impassioned and brought new things to be. Garnet was a leader with no passion, Pearl had all the passion but was too high strung, Amethyst brought that newness but also let it be at the core of her insecurities. And especially Steven wants to fit her place in the group, and be able to heal like she does. They aspire to be like her, but the ways that they are like her are supplemented by the ways that they aren't like her, realizing that their differences should be celebrated instead of mourned is something that the show seemed to be gearing towards, but it feels like Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst "grew" but losing everything that made them unique.

World building, a well thought out Overarching plot, and (important)character episodes without steven... FUCK THAT! Let's make another Larz episode!

>Pariah
Only to Steven
>Scapegoat
The Diamonds literally admitted everything was their fault. You can't get less of a scapegoat than that.

Different boarders for a start. On topic, I think the biggest problem the show had were the pacing (due to the 11 minute pacing) and you could've probably have gotten rid of the Steven POV though I think the time limit was the thing that dragged a lot of stuff down. Otherwise you've got a decent show at worst that occasionally had bursts of excellence. Shame about the budget being cut over and over.

lamar abbrams

even zuke drew her better

Too much focus on steven

In a show titled Steven Universe.
>I know this is bait but,

I feel like I woulda forgotten SU by now if they hadn't introduced Spinel

Yet the Diamonds get to sit back and enjoy being weird aunts just like the gems, the punishment and defaming of Rose's character throughout the series is laughable. The diamonds are flawed dictators, while Rose becomes the evil revolutionary. The blame of the entire show rests incredibly heavily on her shoulders, they admit things are their fault but that's never reflected in the following narrative. Pearl, Amethyst, AND Garnet's arcs all revolve on how "Rose is such a bad person >:o" while Amethyst and Garnet's especially can be traced to the Diamonds.

Ah good example

Some budget cuts, some pacing issues, some difference of opinion among the creative team, but in the end it managed to hold itself together and be one of the better things Cartoon Network has ever done.

>They squandered all their interesting plot lines
>Anything that had any potential weight behind it to change the story was always hand-waved away and the status quo returned within a couple episodes
>They introduced characters and did absolutely nothing with them thus ruining any potential the character had to affect the story (Lapis, Peridot, Bizmuth, etc.)
>The Diamonds are complete pushovers who Steven manipulated into agreeing with him
>Steven should have fought the DIamonds for being the tyrants they were
>Very inconsistent art
>SUF was pure trash. Nothing good came from it.
