People who hate the last part of homestuck will tell you to skip the last part of homestuck, but the last part of homestuck is where everything culminates because it's the last part of homestuck.
If you're already getting near act 6 then what you're in for are new characters that are arguably either not fleshed out or are too entrenched in teenage melodrama amidst the drama of an alien takeover, physical representations of the fandom, and long winded interactions about the characters becoming more mature (read: gayer).
It's not all bad, but it rubbed plenty the wrong way.

not to hate on his character or anything, I love the guy, it’s just that he doesn’t do anything after cascade and it would have heightened the stakes significantly to kill off an important character (day what you will but a lot of the trolls and exiles did feel rather disposable. really, did anyone think Equius or Feferi were going to play a big role in the story?) also it would have given can civilization more meaning because of something about ideas persisting after death and all that inspirational shit.
