Which show is better?

Regular Show

Gravity Falls has a crappy finale but AT was craptacular

Gravity Falls of course. Adventure Time isn't good at all.

Adventure Time defined a generation of cartoons, Gravity Falls shamelessly ripped off elements of it.

Almost every show on Cartoon Network and Disney Channel from 2010-2019

The first 4 seasons of Adventure Time are definitely better than Gravity Falls. The rest of them might be worse.

As an adult, I like Adventure Time way more. But fanboys forget that AT had like a two or three season block of being almost unwatchable, and in the last season or two only barely recovered what made it good. Gravity Falls' whole last 1/4 was just dogshit though, which is way worse for a serialized show.

Seasons 5 and 6 of AT were it’s low point. I don’t know if Gravity Falls ever got as bad.

GF since it didn't shoehorn LGBT shit in it.

I give GF lots of shit but it knew when to fucking die and even did it rather gracefully.

Adventure Time by a fucking mile. Screw anyone who thinks otherwise. Even Regular Show was better than GF

Gravity Falls.
Adventure Time was different but it tried too hard to be weird, and not in a fun way.

Yet it barely had any notable peaks, outside of Pacifica's mansion ep and NWHS. Adventure Time went on for way too long, but its peaks were superior in quality and quantity than GF's peaks

>defined a generation of cartoons
Maybe, but that doesn't make it good.
Hell, that might explain why this generation has been so shit.

That's your opinion. You probably think Evangelion is a bad anime for being too weird and confusing

>watching anime

Shrek also inspired a generation of inferior copies during most of the 2000s. Doesn't change the fact that it's a great movie

It's quite silly how both shows are compared. They're not the same thing. GF was all Hirsch's vision. Everything happened according to what he wanted, whereas AT was a sandbox in which all of the storyboarders contribuited to the storytelling. Heck, GF used scripts. AT was storyboard driven. Personally, i prefer AT's approach

based

At least I could jump back into AT at the end, and the old episodes were unscathed. I'm disappointed that the original Lich arc ended stupidly, but at least it didn't encompass all of the show. GF Season 2B just gave up on telling the story for a few episodes, then rushed through the finale when they only had four episodes left for it.

Comparing both shows is like comparing Shrek to Shark Tale. It's the same formula, yet it's far better executed in the former. In this case, AT executed the formula better

Gravity falls, Adventure time lose it’s edge when it tried to be more story driven and when Rebecca left the show

>Watching childrens cartoons

Looking back, Gravity Falls really could've used a bit more of female involvement. It had no female directors, and only 7 out of 40 eps had female writers involved

People who prefer GF don't know shit. I was there when Adventure Time came out, and it was such a breath of fresh air. It showed and proved that the medium still had untapped potential, breaking plenty of long established conventions in the process. GF had none of that shit. It's just a generic and formulaic show that just happens to be competently made

AT was great, but it did get shitty later on. When taking the whole show into perspective, there are more bad or below average seasons than good ones.

You could say the same about Spongebob, yet they were both better than GF at their peak. That's what counts

Regular Show
