Kuvira, she was the best villain and one of the best things to come out of the show.

Kuvira’s loss shouldn’t have just been so shit. Korra needed to believably talk her out of her dictatorship and conquest. This should have been like a Fallout boss in terms of the speech checks Korra needed to navigate.

I think she could have been talked down, maybe not to handing over the Kingdom to the earth king, since she is vastly more competent and beloved than him, but to like an election. Prove that her people want her and that she didn’t just usurp power. Besides her conquest for her lost land, one of her biggest detriments as a leader was the lack of legitimacy while the prince was still there.

Kuvira had more charisma.

Kuvira's fascist goals were actually far more considerate of the Earth Kingdom as a whole than Ozai's were for the Fire Nation. Ozai was always concerned with gaining as much political power as possible. Kuvira intended on seizing all Earth Kingdom land and consolidate it under autocratic rule.

Honestly ending of Korra should have been Korra talking kuvira down by showing her how some of the earth kingdom citizens suffer under her and how that will lead to division rather than unity. With earth kingdom now forming a constitutional monarchy.

Kuvira was fine up until marching on and attacking Republic City.

These guys are right. No one actually knows what "facism" is these days. Facism is a post industrial reactionary political philosophy that seeks to reject both communism and capitalism with a highly nationalistic conservative social order and a planned military economy. Kuvira thus is close to being a facist.

Ozai is just a monarch. He got his job by being born and playing court politics and everything done after attaining that position is in service of maintaining and expanding his power. Ozai wasn't justifying why he was in charge or needed to rule because he was born into the job.

They were getting ready to face the united forces but after the president saw the super weapon he orders his army to stand down because he doesn’t want them to die since they’ve lost anyway. They Kuvira try’s to get in contact with Reiko but when shit hits the fan she doesn’t order her army to engage the enemy in order to assist her? Wtf?
