Kiteman

Can someone explain to me the point of this motherfucker? He was supposed to be Ivy's redemption, the goofball who gets the girl. Then Ivy and Harley fuck and... what she leaves him? What the hell was the point of even having the character in the first place?

>Kiteman
Hell no.

to spite and humiliate the men self inserting as him

>He was supposed to be Ivy's redemption
in what way did she need to be redeemed?

To make people talk, which is exactly what you're doing.

Shit like this is also why I sigh in annoyance whenever LGBT content comes up, because "girl leaves a guy to be a lesbian" is a story that needs to stop being told.

Also, Ivy shouldn't be "redeemed", she's a fucking eco-terrorist who should hate all humans in favor of nature, her being Harley's lesbian chew toy ruins all of that,

This. If you self insert as him, you kinda deserve it anyway.

She stopped hating humans so much.

>He was supposed to be Ivy's redemption,\
>the goofball who gets the girl.
Explain how these two things are related. In like episode one Ivy talks about how it was Harley who got her to come out of her shell and interact with people.

>it was Harley who got her to come out of her shell and interact with people.

This is a fucking Batman villain, that's not how you write a fucking Batman villain.

He became proof that she could love and not hate people so much, and he was a goofball. It's not real hard.

Unironically a hatred and need to shit on straight white men, and a backwards sense of morality.
>inb4 they’re villains
Sure, but you can’t say your main characters are bad people, then create scenes and scenarios that expect us to care about them on an emotional level. You can’t have Ivy appear empathetic but also a cheating cunt. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

She's also a therapist.

and Scarecrow's a psychologist, doesn't mean he'd be a good one after establishing himself.

>because "girl leaves a guy to be a lesbian" is a story that needs to stop being told.
The more lesbians are accepted, the more they can just be that from the start if that’s what they want the characters to be.

and what about "bisexual girl leaves her female lover for a guy", how far off are we from that story?

We've past that. That was pretty much every other cheese cake and porno from the last 30 years.

Knowing Harley, if this ever gets another season it'll probably open with that

Was she infatuated with the Joker at that point? If she wasn't, I'm pretty sure she would still take her job seriously (in this show at least).

>I have a problem with character development

No. The point behind him (and the whole relationship thing with Ivy) was to showcase that settling for things is not good. They don't fit with one another in any way. She started to answer to his affection only because she searched for stable and safe relationship, sheshe knows for a fact he would never do her wrong. She was afraid that Harley would leave her someday and/or break her heart.

And apparently, in the finale, they'll make him bounce back and earn Harley's respect. After this, though... it's hard to imagine, isn't it?

>Harley
>stable and safe

What kind of backwards logic is this?

And While I know this show is all over the place that was brought up in the Queen of Fables episode. Ivy says her and Harley are Villains but good people, where Queen is a Villain and a Bad person. While I watch the show for Psycho, King Shark, Kite man, and Clayface. I kinda liked how season 1 was Harley making a name for herself and getting over all those that wronged her in the past, Joker, her family, and herself to some point. But season 2 she goes full spoiled brat who gets upset when she doesn't get her way.

No he wasn't, you fucking stooge

Kite Man was a stupid asshole who was always going to lose. You were never supposed to like him. At best you were supposed to see him as annoying and pathetic.

It's extremely telling that so many people on this board like Kite Man

>He was a goofball
He was an incel

I was voice chatting some college friends over the weekend and my friends wife starts talking about the gay shit in She-ra. She's also a massive Ivy/Harley fan since season 1. Anyways she was saying:
>Oh my God can you believe they had gay characters in the show. That is so amazing, I loved it. I thought they never would do this!

And I am like this is going to be the new normal going forward, so many shows are rushing to have LGBT characters. What I hate about this show, they had plenty of times to end the Kiteman stuff. Ivy could have said him sleeping by his grave was weird or how he kept pushing the proposal shit came off as clingy. But no they want to have him fly as high as possible before the fall, which will make is suck more. Also what's ironic is women say the Ivy/Harley shit is cute and romantic, but if Harley was a guy then it would have been creepy, pathetic, and rapey.

I know Kiteman is fucked, but please don't kill off Dr. Psycho, I would miss that little Nigga like you wouldn't believe...

I doubt there is much planning behind anything characters say or do in this show. It seems to be a) whatever the writers want to happen in each episode and b) what could create some sort of buzz for the show.

From being an evil gay degenerate

Psycho is an incel, Kiteman is just a regular douche.

So is that to say Harley and Ivy are supposed to be good people?

Aren't they villains?
