What do you even do with Elsa as a character in Frozen 3? She's over-powered as hell, can apparently control the elemental spirits without uttering a single word and, depending on how you want to interpret the lore from the Myth short, she's basically Jesus now.

You either keep her away for most of the movie and let her act as a deus ex machina, or you nerf her. I think Elsa losing her powers (temporarily or permanently) could be a good premise for a sequel.

she fucks me

>What do you even do with Elsa as a character in Frozen 3?
Take all her clothes off so she’s completely naked

well, they can't kill her off now, and she's gotta be in the movie, like it or not she's the one that sells the most toys, so a good solution is crippling her power, which would also benefit the dynamic between the sisters in my opinion

turn her into a bee

introduce more regional spirits. maybe there are are more "fifth spirit" humans in other parts of the world with different powers. it would help explain away the weirdness of Elsa controlling ice when all the other spirits are normal element-based.

>de-power her
It would be nice to see her wear normal clothes again, instead of shimmering magic dresses formed from ancient magicks
Just some nice fabric instead

You can't just take away her magic though. That's part of the appeal of the movies

put Elsa in velvet again!

Frozen 3 begins decades in the future.
Anna is long dead. The Northuldra have left the forest entirely and mixed with Arendelle's population. The woods stand silent.
A logging company wants to move into the Enchanted Forest and begin clearing the trees. But when they try, all their equipment mysteriously breaks down from an unexplainable frost...

It's a win-win
it works as an interesting plot device, it levels the ground for both sisters and it potentially generates a lot of new non-icy dress designs for Elsa, which also means more toy sales

I like this idea, it has potential to reallly help expand the world by adding folklore from other regions

I'd call this idea boring but F2's plot was about a dam, so...

so the answer to OP’s question would be “make her an immortal super-Lorax”? sure, why not

I like this art a lot. But to answer your question: you make the plot have them travel so far away from the Enchanted forest that the spirits can't accompany them and maybe even have Elsa's powers start acting up for being too far away from Ahtohallan.

Sounds like Elsa joining a superhero team.
And it would put her in her place without actually de-powering her.
>Oh, you’re the spirits of those woods by Arendelle? I didn’t know that backwater village even had spirits. I’m the spirit of the entire Balkan Peninsula.

are her powers effectively directly connected to Ahtohallan?

Supposedly? I don't know.

friend ordered popcorn from the theater and they threw in a free funkopop

Whatever Ahtohallan is, it has a huge amount of power over Elsa, even with all her upgrades. It’s the very first thing that’s been able to freeze her in place. And it released her only when the dam fell, so it was aware of the outside world. When Elsa said “the spirits agreed Arendelle should stand”, she meant that Ahtohallan decided to release her in time to race to the castle and protect it. Elsa does Ahtohallan’s bidding now.
That’s how I see it.

Make her heterosexual.

Make her lose her powers and have both sisters, alone, go on an adventure together. There, it would also be a good paradigm shift because it would mean Anna gets to be the stronger and more capable sister, it would humble Elsa and it could give us some really good sister interactions.

I like it. And it would force Elsa to learn more problem-solving than just “blast whatever is in my path and keep running”.

is right in that you have to nerf Elsa. This does not necessarily mean she needs to have her power diminished, but if the world were to introduce other humans with such capabilities like Elsa, maybe we can see her challenged.

Also get her out of the goddam forest. That place is boring as fuck, the people inhabiting the forest are boring as fuck, and the spirits still manage to be boring as fuck despite supernatural powers. You can't have a conversation with a judgmental horse.

Nice.
Hate funkos but, hey, free frozen stuff.

>Anna teaches Elsa wilderness survival skills while she frets about being useless
>Makes her a cozy bed of leaves
>Shows her how to build a campfire
>Suspiciously intimate scene by the fire under the stars
I just want quiet moments outdoors, bros

>All the Elsas were sold, but they're giving away Annas for free

Where would Anna have learned survival skills?

>the perfect opportunity to make honeymaren her own character

She's been dating a mountain man for 3 years

Introducing more magical characters would further diminish Anna's role in the plot, it's not a very good idea which probably means it will happen
