I've never seen anyone successfully replicate this old CGI aesthetic. It should be really easy given how far we've come, but modern attempts always look off.
Is there a reason why no one can do it?

Why is old CGI so much fun compared to todays over realistic detailed CGI

i think modern attempts dont consider the limitations of the old platforms
they have too many colors, too high a frame rate, too many polygons, or the modern shaders are too advanced
