Why isn't this show as nostalgic to people as Osmosis Jones?

Discount Chris Rock sound-a-like

Don’t know.
I think I saw this first.
Also for some reason my earliest memory of the show included me thinking it had something to do with Batman.
Don’t ask why, I can’t remember how that got involved.

all i know is it gave me an mpreg fetish

I think that was Phill LaMarr who replaced Chris Rock

Funny thing is that it was much better than the movie. No live action segments, Hector wasn't as nasty as Frank, less gross out humor, better love interest and Osmosis and Drix had more chemistry

It made the end of the movie pointless.

It’s not that good. Osmosis Jones (well the animated part) is extremely good. Ozzy and Drix was pretty weak despite a good premise.

What made Ozzy & Drix pretty weak? I thought it was popular enough that the 26 episodes ran on Cartoon Network atleast 10 times, maybe even more. I remember in the 2004 - 2005 season, it aired everyday on CN

The bad writing, the cheap animation, the forced Chris Rock impression, the lame villains, it just wasn’t very good.

Oh cool I remember coming home from school and watching this.

You probably just associated them. It was running back to back with the heyday of the DCAU shows on the same channels.

cuz they both suck.

So if it wasn't good, why did Cartoon Network go through the series a lot?

Simple, it had no home releases during it's run on Kids WB, so there's was no way to show this show to middle school biology & health classes while it was popular, like I can see VHSs & DVDs of this show that each take on a different subject (like one talking about digestion, with "the Globfather", "Gas of Doom", & "the Conqueror Worm", or one talking about Medication with "Strepfinger", "Aunti-Histamine",& "Triumph of the Supplements", or one talking about Self-Care with "Sugar Shock", "A Growing Cell", & "Journey to the Center of the Tooth", or one talking about Maturity with "Where's the Smoke", "Street Up", & "Puberty Alert", or one about Cells with "Double Dose", "Oh My Dog" & "Ozzy Jr." or one about the brain with "Reflex", "The Dream Factory" & "Lights Out", or one about different effects to the body with "Growth", "Cold Day in Hector" & "Nature Calls")

Why did Johnny Test last nine years? Because it's cheap, genius.

It was dumbed-down and less edgy compared to the movie, although understandable since it was on Kids WB. It would've been better if it were on HBO or something.

>frank got fat again

Shits depressing.

I suppose that would make sense.
What were the ratings like? Maybe the ratings were good enough despite being labeled as bad by some people like that user? I mean, there are bad movies that make huge profits at the box office despite critics hating them.
I don't know if that was the case here, but it could have been.
Also, I suck at critically judging things, and it's been a while since I've watched the show, so I can't really weigh in on whether it was as bad as that user said.
Alternate timeline?

Forgetful.

The only thing I remember is the smoking episode.

this more or less. I still think it was pretty decent though. Intro was good

So if the show was forgettable, how did it perform well with kids?

Way cheaper looking than the movie. Of course, it's to be expected that a TV show would have a lower budget. But the number of times they reuse scenes from the movie for the background and transitions is a little ridiculous. I personally feel like it also wasn't as creative as the movie.

I'm really wondering why this show was so fucking popular back then if the show sucked? I recall CN airing it 3 times a day at one point

I'm the opposite. Can't stand the movie but liked the show.

If I wanted to see Bill Murray be a disgusting slob I'd look at pictures of Bill Murray now

>He doesn’t know how time slots work
Let me guess: Bayformers is a masterpiece because it did great at box office.

First off, time slots need to be filled, and when there’s not enough shows it’s cheap and easy to pull shows you completely own back onto the schedule to keep it filled.
Second, do you honestly think something is good because it’s popular? So Nikki Minaj is good? Twilight is good? CW’s shows are good?

The only episode that I remember from this show was the anti-smoking one which, ironically enough, didn't discouraged me from smoking. If anything, it actually kinda encouraged me a bit to try out smoking some cigs later in my life.

If they wanted a teen audience, they should have them go into Frank's qt daughter.

Hector was shit

I really want to know why you guys loved this show as kids

I know you guys loved it, because CN overplayed it at one point
