I just read through the entirety of spinerette non-paywalled comics to see if there was braps in it, does that count?
Yes
With the disclaimer I will read zero capeshit
Absolutely based
Not anymore
I read several webcomics, comics are overpriced and I hate illegally reading or watching something.
Based if true
Cringe if you just read like Image and other pseudo-capeshit.
Only when it's storytimed on a character thread
No because comics are honestly retarded, I prefer to watch a video from the comicsexplained guy or other comic youtubers about x capeshit/ 90’s aliens franchise characters or stories. I can’t get invested enough in comics like I can the one piece manga, because it always reboots and nothing matters when a new writer takes over. So they’re more like mini podcast put on in the background or fall asleep to
Sometimes. I'm mostly here for the cartoons.
I live out in bumfuck nowhere and there was briefly a local comic shop just up the road from me a few years ago. I used to pop in and buy a few comics here and there to support 'em, but they went out of business maybe two years after setting up shop. Was sad to see it go even though I don't buy that many comics. Place always seemed to have business whenever I was there.
only memes
Not modern ones because they're all shit, but I do read old classics from before women ruined everything.
>before women ruined everything
You mean Quesada, Bendis, Aaron, Didio, Snyder, Cates and Slott?
Comics are really fucking cool but they're all weighted down with trends pandering to niche audiences that have been evolving for decades. I'm never able to enjoy a series as much as I think I will because the style of storytelling, etc. is not what I expected.
The selection that isn't capeshit or autobiographical wank has dwindled to the point where I don't even bother.
I really want to but almost nothing is well written or drawn in an appealing way. I can't explain why this is. I'll never understand why this is. it's like the comic collective decided unanimously to miss the mark and has continued this trend for several decades.
>autobiographical wank
Goddamn this shits almost as common and horrible as capeshit. "I was a gay friendless, silent child and then I had a girlfriend who said it's okay to be gay so I was okay."
Comics? They aren't manly enough
I hate this meme because it's only spread by writers who's storytimes were savaged here.
"T-they don't even read comics!! My gay iceman is totes in-character!"
Com, Ics?
u got any recommendations?
Spoiler alert: most comics, web or otherwise, are banned on Zig Forums, which is why you only see capecuckery and tranny shit.
I read every kind of comic, but sadly, people here only care about capeshit
for my free time it's
vidya > posting on chinese basketweaving forums > comics > cartoons > regular ass books (yes I do read. it's rare, but some can really take me away like all the other ones on the list)
I usually read what's posted here, there's a bunch of stuff oldfags like to circulate that not many people know about. There's always a hidden gem somewhere.
I don't even watch cartoons. I'm just here to bitch about lesbians.
No
This 100%
But lately I'm not finding stuff to read, care ti share good reads?
I've been meaning to read Ring if the Nibelung but I want to watch the opera first (yes, really)
boards should be split between comics and cartoons
What kind of shit do you like?
There's a couple good sci-fi things you can find online, both humorous and deep. That's what I'm into.
However, I just finished catching up on this robot sci-fi called Jupiter, and although it hasn't devolved into homoshit yet... there's just something about that artstyle that makes you worried it's going to devolve into homo romance shit, when all you want to read about is science fiction.
>Ring of the Nibelung

I read a couple dozen comics, but they're all "web" comics, which I'm sure DC/Marvel will politely inform you "doesn't count."
They won't but I will. Comic strips aren't comicbooks they're comic strips. Most webcomics are strips not books.
