I agree that Percy godhood was poorly foreshadowed but I think the main problem is how useless everyone else feels in a battle during and after season 2.
even with Yugo godshit Percy still stronger when it mattered to the point they basically had to hard nerf him for the next seasons

does the series get something going or is it only stories about Kerub or whatever the hell his name is supoossed to be written

It's all individual stories of Kerub's adventures but the series still builds the chracters of the present. There's no dramatic plot but the characters are all endearing.
Plus each episode is about 15 minutes long so they're easy to watch

Nah, it's deliberately very low-stakes and episodic, focusing on the past adventures and current daily lives of the main trio. The producers wanted something bright and simple that they could market to children, so the creator simply rehashed the previous series he had planned for a darker and more mature show into something suitable for kids.
The Dofus movie is where the story actually picks up and it goes down the dark, mature, story-driven road that the creator originally wanted. Think of the series as the bright and happy prologue to that, before everything goes horribly wrong.

I like the lore tidbits but when there is no stakes and the mystery about the dog girl wont be solved I don't see why watch it in context of a bigger story

Not quite, he threw up his hands and went away fromthe project and others retooled it, then when he came back he decided he wanted to kill the main character in the movie out of spite for the series.

I don't like it.

The theme song is awesome though.

what people think of as wanking is about dealing with god characters and not god characters in the same group. the problem is if everyone of them was a god there would be no real focus on their development and lore.
which is why they chose the Eliatropes since they have more of their own story to tell without dragging the view throe the world entire history to make sense and why the Iop god was included because of simple and mostly separate story they have making them easy to include
