I don't see the hate in Ultimate Spider-Man. The art style was better, more realistic and pleasing to the eye compared to the gross tumor shoulders that Spectacular use and the expanded cast meant that we could see Peter play off of a wider array of characters with his usual Spidey charm. I also loved the 4th wall breaking, it was like Deadpool and everybody loves it when he does the same exact thing. To me it just seems like a lot of bitter Marvel fans who are mad that Disney had purchased the company at the time which coincidentally occurred around the same time that Spectacular Spider-Man ended its run after four whole years. Like, get over yourselves. You didn't really think a cartoon with a continuous storyline was going to go on forever did you? Things have to end at some point, the same way Ultimate Spider-Man did after a similar length of five years and got replaced with yet another Spider-Man show. It's nothing new to Spider-Man and definitely nothing new within the animation industry.

That's my problem with it. I don't want Spidey to be PG Deadpool. Plus the forced teen cast takes away from him, and muddies his conflicts by bringing all their baggage. Spidey is a solo character, and he should stay that way. Cameos and temporary partnerships are fine, but that's it.

To you. I could care less about Ultimate succeeding Spectacular. If it was good, that would be fine. But it's not.
And yes, I am angry Spectacular got cut short. Not because it didn't go on forever.

That doesn't stop people from being bummed over it.
I'm sorry, I want to continue this but I received an uncalled and rather nasty comment in another thread just for voicing my opinions, signifying that Zig Forums is going to go from a 5 to a 0. I'm going to get off of this website until the quality goes back up but you can PM my twitter (same username, no tripcode) if you'd really like to keep this up. Hope to hear from you soon, you seem to be one of the few actually intelligent users on this site so it'd be great if we could be closer away from anonymity.
You guys are based

You know I was initially mad that Ultimate Spider-Man replaced Spectacular. I was 10 or something, and watched Spectacular on Disney XD blissfully unaware that the show was already cancelled at that point. I was confused why they would replace the Spider-Man cartoon they had with another one, until it occured to me that Ultimate was about Spider-Man on a team. I instantly forgave it, thinking that was enough justification.
Then the show came out and the team doesn't do anything. It's still a Spidey show, so I felt like I got justed from Spectacular. Years later I rewatch Spectacular and find out Disney never owned the rights to make Spectacular. I will never not be mad.
>tripfag is a complete faggot with shit taste
No one is surprised.
Can we agree that MTV series is the most underrated Spider-Man cartoon?
>darker and grittier than most series, one of the villains actually get beheaded and Electro killed someone on-screen
>best theme music (fight me)
youtube.com
>MCD as Kingpin, even if for one episode
>okay CGI for the time
The only problem is that they tried to tie into Raimi's movies, so they didn't use more Spider-Man rogues and had to replace them with lame expies though Turbo-Jet was a fine villain and OCs the terrorist group episode is the fucking worst
Dated CGI aside, I like that the show didn't present Peter as overly nerdy. This is something a lot of Spidey shows get wrong, they write off Peter as some uncool nerd stereotype when all he is is very gifted in science, beyond that, he's fairly ordinary as a person.
And yeah, the Raimi tie ins felt unnecessary and out of place. Non of the characters resembled their movie counterparts to begin with. Especially Rob Zombie Connors.

user, people give nasty comments all the time here. For better or for worse, it's quintessentially Zig Forums
Never cared for Spider-Gwen or Gwen in general, but she was really cute in Spiderverse.

Fucking JJJ poster
That was fairly easy
The live action show is all on YouTube, it’s worth it for the goofiness of the whole thing
I don't get the teeth crack
It's a gap moe point

sorta like Melanie Martinez, it's one of those charming points that I don't get, and I get canine sticking out
The Peter of Miles universe who died in Spiderverse.
>The art style was better
That is entirely subjective, and no it fucking wasn't.
Goofiness you say? I love goofiness
