It's not, unless you let SJWs dictate your morals.
It isn't. But it is not always sufficient as a critique and requires broader explanation.
It isn't. Like what you want, dislike what you want. Don't succumb to pressure from individuals wanting to control your life.
If you wanna read Tarot Witch of the Black Rose, do so.
because liberals think white men not being constantly ashamed of being white and male and constantly submitting to women and minorities is considered "racist" and "sexist".
basically unless you let women and minorities treat white men like the nazis treated the "untermenschen" you are considered a nazi
you cant openly criticise sjw comics anymore. if you do you get treated as a "traitor" by media an d twitter mob even if you are politically liberal leaning.
in fact its become a taboo.
Aren't superheroes SJWs?
It's not, but enjoy your victim complex.
Because it's easier for the publishers to use a scapegoat than it is to admit they made a shit product
I don't think you should dislike a writer for their beliefs. I consider myself mostly liberal with some conservative instincts here and there, but I would never write a story just to make a political point.
But if they try to force their beliefs onto you in crass ways that destroy character and story, then that is objectionable. Alan Moore's V for Vendetta or Watchmen are examples of a ideologically fervent writer exploring politics without being heavy handed, and with use of nuance.
I don't care if it's Steve Ditko, Frank Miller on one side, or Ewing and Waid on the other, who do it, it's universally cringe-inducing when they do it.
What about Alan Grant's Anarky? I thought he was pretty good.
Anarky is a weird case since because he's 15-16 years old it's not really clear how much of it is supposed to be "look at this naive kid".
I bring to you the words of totalbiscuit on this subject.
youtube.com
or possibly a slipnot/eminem mashup, I've been up all night and my brain is fucking mush.
I googled social justice, here's what came up as a definition:
>justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society.
>"individuality gives way to the struggle for social justice"
I see superheroes as mostly fighting for individual freedom and against crime, including tyrants, terrorists, shady corporations, etc. Not redistributing wealth and privileges more equally. You could come up with exceptions but I would say those exceptions are contrary to the ideal and general nature of a superhero.
Nope. But constantly hapring about then for every little thing sure is
Goes against their plan to overthrow civilization
This. People will just hate it for existing but if they actually tried they could come up with legitimate reasons it's bad.
Yeah, but SJW doesn't exactly refer to "social justice" in Zig Forums's admittedly bizarre parlance. Generally speaking it refers to Social Activism, usually left wing. Which is to say, the first few appearances of Superman or a good portion of Green Arrow's career.
Superheroes are antifascist
I dunno, I'd say the common usage of SJW fits that definition very well. It's about people trying to force equality of outcome and equality of wealth. It's about assuming any advantage one group has over another is entirely unearned and needs to be eliminated by the 'privileged' group submitting entirely to the whims of the 'oppressed' group. In practice none of this can be accomplished without tyrannical abuse of power which is exactly what heroes ought to be fighting against.
Yes but they are totally unlike what we today call antifa (thugs who destroy small businesses, intentionally commit property damage and arson, and assault people for their beliefs). And they are just as anti-communist as they are anti-fascist.
Because only racist, sexist Drumpft supporters disagree with SJWs. Bigot.
It's not "morally bad"
What it is though is kinda petty.
It's thinking "this is my thing and you can't play with it"
It only becomes "morally bad" if you start having tantrums at people online or in real life about them "ruining your thing" or if you work with other like minds to keep the "fake" fans out.
Keep some perspective man, it's all stuff made for children anyway, let there be things for all the children, not everything Marvel or DC or whoever makes has to be for you.
i just want to read my spider-man can you guys stop talking politics
Women turn everything they touch to shit. If black writers are based (unless they're Reggie Hudlin, fuck that guy) and gays have some good stuff, women just make everything worse.
because comics are politicized
This user lives in a society
Tantrums fall under speech and speech falls under bodily autonomy. They're pathetic, but they're not morally wrong.
That's true, I suppose the contents of the tantrums are what decides their morality, how much verbal abuse they fling directly at others.
No, it really does not. People are justified in using their own body as selfishly as possible, regardless of impact on others.
It's not a "morally bad thing". Most of the people who dislike SJW comics and cartoons just proceed to make the biggest retards out of themselves for weeks and months on end, and because a lot of the shit they're mad at is targeted towards literal children, they come off even worse.
That's not true at all.
