Is the fourth one still happening or has it been scrapped? What would it even be about? The third one seemed to try to wrap everything up about Po's journey with a bow.

A lot more mysticism, if Paws of Destiny is to believed.

Is that show still going?

I didn't like the third one. I'm hoping they'll do the six they originally intended.
Maybe it'd be a 'student becomes the master' with the last three? Po starts taking on ShiFu and Oogway responsibilities.
>4: ShiFu retires. Po is now the leader. Learns to delegate and lead, both in the jade palace and valley of peace. Bad guy army invading and Po can't just go punch him out, has to stay behind and manage things. More Furious Five personality interactions.
>5: Po's father retires. Po has to choose between Valley of Peace and Panda Village leadership. Tries going in between and doing both.
>6: Furious Five now have proteges. Po's ascending to Oogway-style sage. Something with a Rival school doing 'bad' kung fu.

nah, it'll all just be shipping

First movie should've been the only one. Sequels were cash grabs, including the dreadful second movie that Zig Forums likes to praise because of that peacock

That moment could've been sweet. Too bad they had to add a one liner inmediately after, since Dreamworks is too afraid to show any sincerity

Doesn't seem like it, which is a shame since it does have a hook for the next season.

They were totally setting up that panda girl to meet Tigress weren't they? I did find it odd how now of the Five or Shifu were in that show but they could have been building to that, I suppose.

Atrocious taste.

Yeah, they probably wanted to keep it focused on the central cast instead of using the Furious Five or Shifu as fan service.

>>Not liking the Gary Oldman peacock
Huh, interesting.
So have you always known you were gay, or was there a specific moment that made you realize it?

Not bad user

Why are these movies so emotionally gripping?

Imagine being attracted to a CG peacock. Get some help

I hated the second film. It was such a lame attempt to make a darker movie that falls flat on its face because of the weak plot, characters with no personality or chemistry, repetitive fight scenes and a very predeterminded feel ( Do we really need to hear that Soothsayer tell Shen that Po will defeat him no matter what ? )

>Do I need to be told that will defeat no matter what
You should have known that before even watching the movie.

You fucking retard. Both movies show that in trying to prevent destiny you inadvertently cause it to happen. Shen's defeat is ironic, if he'd left the pandas alone there would be no dragon warrior to stop him. You're brainlet tier, dude.

Please god let a fourth movie happen. I need new furkino to fap to

Whatever. The movie doesn't work regardless. I wouldn't recommend it

I'm pretty sure no one saw this coming when it was announced. It's frustrating because I'm trying to get my friend who has seen everything from DreamWorks besides the Kung Fu Panda movies (along with Megamind) to at least give the first one a watch.

Did the third one bomb? Only thing I remember from it was the yak's theme

I think they’re done with the movies now. I’m fine with that, because 3 was a massive letdown, and the whole chi spamming ruined the flow of that world.

Self fulfilling prophecies are hardly an original thing, you know ? Panda 2 is as derivative and basic as a sequel can get, neverming pointless. The first movie was fine as a Jack Black vehicle obviously made by committee, but it didn't need sequels

>since Dreamworks is too afraid to show any sincerity
Not the only ones really

Pixar or Disney don't undercut the emotional moments with jokes tho. In that scene, Tigress hugs Po and tells him to stay....only for Mantis to ask if he can stay too, so that Tigress tells him to stop being a wimp. Dreamworks writers are simply not sincere. This happens in most of their movies

>Pixar or Disney don't undercut the emotional moments with jokes tho.
They don't have to. Some of those "emotional" scenes they do at times have so much of a manipulative air to them it's sickening. "Insincerity" comes in many forms, my friend.

That moment was sweet, and what was even sweeter was Po's awkward, but sincere hug at the end.

I'd rather have manipulative feels than unsincere feels. The former actually has a chance of working with some people

Too bad Tigress didn't return the hug, they have an attempt at humor with Crane jawdropping, and then Po stops hugging her because the others's reaction. Pixar or Disney would've written that scene better. They'd written the whole film better, and made it longer as well. 81 mins is too short for a 2011 film

2 > 1 > 3

>I'd rather have manipulative feels than unsincere feels
So you like more blatant insincerity over 'another', got it.

>Pixar or Disney would've written that scene better. They'd written the whole film better
Maybe if it was Renaissance-era Disney, or pre-2010s Pixar I'd agree.
