>She wasn't in any of the trailers >She wasn't even alluded to exist in Miles universe >We're introduced to this kooky scientist who could easily be this universes version of Bill Nye the Science Guy >Surprisingly non-plussed about Spidey being dead yet standing right in front of her >Suddenly into how he'll be ripped to pieces by staying in the alternate universe for too long >The 'wham' moment hinges entirely on the viewer being familiar with Spider-Man mythos to know why the name 'octavius' means trouble
Is it though? I don't recall that happening in the Ultimate universe, nor is it really ever brought up that much. Spider-Man: Life Story was the only one I remember it happening in recent memory.
Gavin Mitchell
That was great. Such a unique way to shock the audience to the presence of one of Spidey’s main enemies. She was the best villain in the movie too.
Michael Gutierrez
From the trailers they only showed her in her street outfit. I thought she'd be a scientist helping Miles get Peter B back to his universe or something.
Don't forget that she had firsthand evidence that being in the wrong universe will eventually kill you, and at no point in time did she feel that Kingpin needed to know that.
Robert Thompson
She undressed and wore her suit in front of fat Pete like it was nothing.
Luis Flores
They should’ve gone further into what her agenda was, because she was clearly just using kingpin for something
James Cruz
Am I tripping? Because I could've sworn her goggles were octagonal as an early allusion to her being Doc Ock. It's what tipped me off before the reveal when I watched it for the first time.
Carson Stewart
It's not exactly like he cared. He was willing to risk the universe for them. His motives were entirely selfish
Seemed like she was just in it for the science
Nolan Jenkins
You're thinking of her glasses
Jaxon Bailey
Given that she's conspicuously missing from the arrested villains in the end, I suspect Spider-Verse 2 will reveal that the truck knocked her into a portal and she'll be the main villain trying to get back her her universe before she dies.
Nathan Williams
Loved her but all the lesbians that won't shut up about her are annoying.
Gavin Reyes
Hed care if he realized that they'd just die in front of him again even if he succeeded
John Barnes
It's not something every piece of media should strive to do, but it's usually fun when a story has repeat watching bonuses. I'm sure some people noticed it the first time through, but I don't think most of us realized that she was fucking surrounded by octagons.
Eli Allen
>You won't be working as her henchman the day she forgets to wear pants with her villain costume.
Ayden Jackson
I hope she's ok
Jeremiah Brooks
When I was watching and she said her name was Octavia, and I had a minor brain fart going "Right, I know that's important. Oct, Oct, Oct..." And then the arms came out. "Ah. Fuck. Right, Octavius."
