Is it okay to bang a professor at your art school if you’re a student? Was Marigold right in this situation?

It’s okay, if she ever regrets it in the future or needs a social boost she can just metoo him
It’s a no loose scenario

>Is it okay
It's not likely to work out longterm, but it probably felt really good

She's smoking weed anyway so she's already going to hell, may as well.

Do art schools generally have issues with professors hitting on students? MICA has been trending because of this, and I’ve seen some buzz about it happening at SVA.

When she gets older, she keeps smoking weed, she starts clubbing, fucks random men and women, and becomes incredibly insecure and depressed.

Perhaps that one bong hit sent her down that long, ardous road to becoming worst girl.

It's a bad idea, but if you aren't in any of their classes it's not horribly unethical.
idk are art school teachers hot? Tertiary education seems to hire pretty heavily for people who are happy to look tired and disheveled all the time in my experience. And not in a neil gaiman sort of way.

Art and philosophy.

Sexual harassment training for universities usually includes information on how you shouldn't date any students, colleagues, or other staff.

What is it about those two fields that attract that sort of professor?

What's the name of this cartoon?

Lots of young impressionable women entering higher education.

Octopus Pie. The comic has been concluded but the artist is releasing her minicomic to the public that was only released to Patreon patrons.

You can start the minicomic from here

Or you can start from the very beginning of the webcomic here

If she was an adult she would see the the grooming and abuse of power a mile away.
She is only adult in age, I swear we need to rise the adult age with how slowly people are developing and education taking an even longer time.

I'm pretty sure virtually every school has rules where they can fire teachers for dating students and some even have rules where they can't date coworkers.

>grooming
>college
time to raise the voting age to 25

All public colleges do. Private colleges may have the same rules, I don't know.

the weirdest thing to me here is that an "art professor" is apparently a "rich guy"

If he was a pretty famous dude who retired and became a professor, it's possible. Or he could be a member of a wealthy family and can afford a place on Park Avenue. The comic takes place in NYC, so it's not impossible that there would be a moderately wealthy college professor around.

What age would you consider most appropriate for that? 21? 25?

In my opinion, I feel like 18 should be standard for everything. Having a staggered scale of what's considered adulthood it weird. 18 to vote and serve in the army. 21 to drink (and smoke in some states), 25 to rent a car, 26 to get your own insurance.

i like 35 for alcohol, voting, consent, everything

Ironically raising the Age limits means longer childhoods and less maturity. this is why "Adulting" is a term.

I though Octopus Pie ended?

>What age would you consider most appropriate for that?
I think it should be an individual thing and dependent on a psychological evaluation.
Some people are mature faster others way slower.
But I think the age of consent/ the age to buy tobacco and alcohol, own a gun, join the military, vote , drive and rent an apartment should all be the same age.

It did but Gran is releasing the minicomic that discusses Hanna’s late teens I’m NYC. It’s a brief origin story that does some exposition for the characters of Octopus Pie. She’s also running the full series with commentary

It's okay to bang your professor if you are a consenting adult.

Some professors are rich. Really high profile ones (by academic standards) can negotiate or even just get offered much higher wages because having them around makes the institution look good. And some of them will have spent time making money in high paying industries before they move over to research/teaching. No idea how common this is art teaching.

Yes, it's extremely unprofessional and you can be fired if the administration finds out about it.

Yeah because the age of consent and drinking age are the things that define adulthood and not the fact that that's the age people are going to college and having to find their own homes, jobs and cars

I wish my hot, rich professors would hit on me when I was an impressionable 18 year old.

>considered adulthood is weird
Not really. At 18 you can do all the things an adult can do. Considering alcohol and smoking as something mature is kinda pathetic unless it's high end shit while I've never heard of the insurance thing I imagine you could work around that.

How old do you need to be before the term "grooming" stops applying?

Apparently never because women demand they be treated like children.
