I like King better than Ellis.

First, because King never developed a religion around himself like Ellis did, and so, if you dislike a King comic, you can just say "I didn't like this". With Ellis, with you ever said that you didn't love some of his works, a legion of Ellisfags would try to gang up on you.

And second, King has actually lived a life. He was a CIA worker that saw some shit, went through some training, visited some countries for work and all that jazz.

Ellis is just a british nerd larping. He has never done anything. All his experiences are imaginary. All his characters are ultra-violent because Ellis has never been in any fight himself. His writing is insincere.

They bought the first thing I showed them -- Lazarus Churchyard -- and I was off.
