The gaang meets him, and based on their previous experiences with crazy people/spirits they assume he has some real knowledge to bestow upon them. They spend the episode trying decipher his nonsense before realizing he is actually an idiot. They learn a valuable lesson that some things actually are just weird and not important. Then they just walk away

i've seen this meme floating around a lot lately. or maybe it's always been here. the point is, i don't get it.
as a season it's weaker because they clearly ran out of steam/time with damnesia vu and that shit. and "fingering my father's killer" is a more coherent seasonal "arc". but the good season 2 eps are some of my favorites, especially Free Range Manibalism. and i like the denser wordplay, it's got a lot more quadruple entendre
