What were they thinking with this lineup? Why would you not use Iron Man, Hulk, or Thor?
Avengers: United They Stand
It would probably have done better today now that normalfags know who most of these characters are.
>Tigra and Wonder Man are still nobodies
Imagine the legion of furries Marvel would've created if they introduced Tigra into the movies.
She's probably too human for furfags.
IIRC they couldn't use them since someone else was and they didn't want to confuse viewers. As for the show itself, I just remember everyone having henshin style scenes.
So kinda like the bat-embargo shit.
Who was using them?
Something on this show’s art style and concept makes me deeply uncomfortable and I cannot figure out why.
>The Avengers roster for the cartoon is loosely based upon the roster for the 1984 Avengers spin-off series The West Coast Avengers. Notably absent from the lineup are the traditional core members: Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor, who were originally prohibited from appearing in the series due to licensing issues. Story editor Eric Lewald has commented on their absence and had said "We want this to be a team of Avengers, instead of making it 'Captain America and the Avengers' or 'Thor and the Avengers. We prefer to have a balanced team of superheroes rather than a superstar on the team." However, Captain America and Iron Man each made one guest appearance (in "Command Decision" and "Shooting Stars", respectively), while Thor did not appear outside of the opening sequence.
Yeah she wouldn't make many furries. Any furry that likes her has shit tier taste.
I sort of see their point but then the Teen titans show still had Robin as the leader and it never felt like "Robin and the Titans". If anything, Beast Boy and Raven were the show's most popular characters.
Well we may not know the specifics but sometimes groups just don't want to share the same characters. Seems like there were other plans for those characters but nothing came of it so after a point they had the roster set and couldn't just put the three back in.
Gateway Furry
The big three were tied up in potential movie licenses (and Captain America almost got his own cartoon, so maybe that too).
does this character exist for any reason other than to be a cum rag passed between male heroes?
They tried to make her work on some occasions, but realize she's only good for one thing: Sleeping around like real cats.
Separate they fall, there I finished the sentence what's my prize?
Iron Man had his own Cartoon and Cap was a regular guest star on the animated shared universe and they wanted to make him into a full show, Thor got the Short end of the stick
I admit that I kinda liked this show, the theme music was rad
Everything that wasn't Spidey or X-Men was treated like dirt in the 90s. It wasn't until Iron Man got his movie that things were reversed.
Why yes, she's quite good at jobbing.
Is this show any good?
I remember it being fine. Hank is pretty much Reed Richards with growing powers.
It was decent.
Iron Man and Hulk were on UPN.
And lol, pre-MCU Avengers using character with solo books who could be licensed on their own.
Id be fine with this line up if Wonderman was replaced with Quicksilver. Then you'd have a pretty faithful b-list Avengers line up. Plus, Wonderman is kind of boring anyways.
Ghost rider got a lot of love from Marvel in the early 90s also
>Plus, Wonderman is kind of boring anyways.
He only works when Beast is also on a team, and he wasn't. This cartoon only used him for one of the most unpopular Avengers ships, just because it was part of the comics at the time. Quicksilver would have been a better replacement.
No idea what they were thinking, but me? I'm thinking based.
