Just never have a black female character over the age of majority?
Have all black female characters be extremely unpleasant and mean?
I still really don't understand what is and is not a "Mammy" and nobody seems to be willing to define it.

Yeah, its part of the push to make women as unpalatable as possible. Hence why most black women in film now are disgusting bull dykes for the most part. Women have to be men, and men have to be absent from the picture altogether.

I've always interpreted the role as a "black nanny". I don't see much of an issue with it, because there's nothing particularly offensive about mammy types. They existed, the post-slavery south was home to a swath of black house keepers. Alot of these stereotypes aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Uncle Tom was just a freed slave happy to have his freedom, Amos and Andy were two friends fucking around (Im aware of their blackface roots, but the cartoons aren't that bad),etc.
