Why is almost every single character gay in this show? Lots of gay pedos too.

I can think of maybe 4 recurring gay characters out of an otherwise enormous cast.
What do you want them to do, hire a bunch of new female voice actresses just so that you can feel more macho about your boner?
It's a show almost exclusively about men and their failures.
I don't mind it at all, I think it's refreshingly different.
>lots of gay pedos too
What? There’s maybe two characters that have actually done acts of pedophilia (Sgt. Hatred’s entire character and Rusty’s statutory rape)
There's way more than 4 and I'm not just talking about recurring characters either but there's lots of 1 off fags as well. Lots of bisexuals too.
gag characters for gay jokes that end up sticking around, except for The Alchemist. Col Gentlemen had gayness thrust into him just because it's a funny idea, kinda the same thing with King Gorilla.
but they go a little hard on shoreleave in later seasons, but he's alright.
Silly user, that pic isn't Family Guy!
And Hank being statutory raped
Pretty sure they always planned for Gentleman to be gay; didn't we see his noticeably effeminate boyservant in Past Tense? And I recall the writers saying that they wanted to have a macho Sean Connery type who was gay.
Seeing masculine or casual gay characters is refreshing. Shoreleave is honestly the worst because he's such a sassy stereotype who's defined by being gay.
dont forget captain sunshine and WONDERBOY
the boys are more than old enough actually.
I thought Hank was 17 when he lost his virginity? Or was he 18?
You can’t prove Captain Sunshine has molested any of those children
As his lawyer, I demand that you cease this slander at once!
the thing with that though is that he actually isn't a pedophile. that's the joke. he's just a creepy middle aged man who's super obsessive with having his WONDERBOY.
Captain Sunshine wasn't gay, he was just a weirdo that was over attached to his sidekicks because they kept dying on him.
Only one died on him, but it really fucked him up.
It's pretty obvious that the writers think homo-eroticism is comedy gold and they go back to that well again and again. The show would be better if they tried harder.
>Pretty sure they always planned for Gentleman to be gay
This is true, a deleted scene from Past Tense has Otto refuse to help because his beliefs don't allow him to help sodomites, murders or idolaters referring to Gentleman, Action Man and Kano respectively.
I can only think of two reoccurring gay characters. And Hatred hasn't done any peso shit for a while
>I'm not just talking about recurring characters
I am.
I can only think of 4. And one of them died, so now I can only think of 3.
>didn't we see his noticeably effeminate boyservant in Past Tense?
Yes, the character "Kiki"
youtube.com
They don't outright state Kiki's age, but dependently, Gentleman also fits the "homosexual" and "pedophile" categories.
Colonel Gent
Shorleave
AL
Although Gent is bi and hasn't mentioned any homoerotic relations recently
This. Captain Sunshine is so straight its painful.
Hatred is hetero and not a pedo when he's not fucked up with Super-serum.
Is there even an ambiguously gay villain? Most of them seem to have better straight relationships that the "good guys".
Given Gentleman's advanced age and diabeetus, its pretty unlikely his junk even works anymore.
King Gorilla.
Phantom Limb Pop Pop
Doctorr Z is technically Selfcest.
The joke is never that they are gay. Hell the show uses gay characters better than most.
>he's just a creepy middle aged man
>he was just a weirdo
Every joke is about Capt. Sunshine fucking Wonderboy in his episode. I suppose you could claim that 'that's the joke,' that everyone THINKS he fucked wonderboy but he never actually did, he was just overly obsessed with him. But all of the jokes are about Sunshine fucking Wonderboy. So at a certain point it doesn't matter, the amount of homosexual pedophile content is the same only it's just 'a misunderstanding.'
>The joke is never that they are gay.
They go back to Sergeant Hatred's pedophilia constantly, it's his most prominent character trait his backstory of why he left OSI, etc. Sure, the joke isn't that 'he's a homosexual pedophile' it's that he's a loser that just happens to be a loser because of his homosexual pedophilia, but that's splitting hairs.
>the show uses gay characters better than most.
I'll agree with the character The Alchemist. He isn't a joke (more than anyone else on the show), his gayness isn't a joke, and he isn't a stereotype (Dana may be lisping a little with the lines, but it's not too much). But nearly everyone else is either a stereotype or their gayness is the joke as in "wouldn't it be funny if this character was really, really gay?" In the OSI vs Sphinx (GI Joe vs Cobra) storylines, they make some obvious swipes at GI Joe characters. One was Shore-Leave, a direct ripoff of GI Joe character "Gung-Ho" only really, really gay. And that's the joke. His gayness isn't a detriment, he's no less effective of a soldier, but they simply took a character from another IP and decided the joke was he's "really gay."
Gentleman is not bi.
Batman fucking Robin is such an old joke the twist was the pastiche WASN'T fucking boys.
