This show was carried by its side characters. That said I like how the main issue people had with the show shifted from the excess blood and gore to the love triangle.
The love triangle I'd list as "more assblasting than Adventure Time and Shimoneta but not quite Korra and Re:Zero".

I enjoyed it a lot but I wish they had held off longer on the Harley x Ivy shit. I have no problem with the ship since the comics made it canon first, but it doesn't feel as earned. I feel like Harley is still totally one step away from going back to the Joker if he had interest, and Ivy didn't spend like ANY time dealing with the fact that she's not truly in love with Kiteman he's just 'safe."
Ivy I believe as a lesbian more than Harley in this show too.
But I still enjoyed it, great voice acting, good action, decent comedy especially from the side characters, didn't see Psycho backstabbing the group either especially not with the Riddler (I thought he'd end up joining Harley honestly).
I think maybe they only got approved for two seasons initially and were worried they wouldn't get to do the romance stuff since I mean, it's on a pretty odd streaming service (I can't even remember WHAT streaming service it's on since i pirate it) so I get it..just hope that if they do end up with another season, they don't have them be a perfect couple immediately and maybe have Ivy wanting to take things slow, not put a label on it, and shit like that first idk.
I don't get why people DON'T like it aside from the first half of the first season being very "Promos for female ghostbusters" if you know what I mean. But once you get past that it's pretty good. Hell of a lot better than anything else Harley's been used for besides the comics anyway

The jokes don't land half the time. Very few of the characters are even likeable, and the MAIN CHARACTER is the worst offender of all. Every character serves only to deliver a punchline, so dissociative characterization runs rampant throughout each episode.
But the worst of it all is the fucking cuckolding fetish this show puts on display. The female characters revel in being duplicitous whores, with the exception of Catwoman, but again, that just serves to deliver a punchline.
