3x3 Comics Thread
Very nice. I still haven't tackled Kirby Thor. Looking forward to it.
Some of my favorite characters.
Hey that's neat! I'm reading Seven Soldiers for the first time right now. Enjoying it so far. Usually I don't like it when characters are created and introduced just to be killed off but I think it worked rather effectively in the first issue. Anyway, this is a collage of comics I'm currently reading or are on my reading list for the immediate future.
Middle right?
It's real real good, man. Odin's hat collection is a highlight, no joke.
I got the omnibus, gotta love that they (unknowingly?) put the Six Soldiers of Failure on the cover instead of the actual title characters.
DD: Yellow's a lot of fun. Love Squadron Supreme, that shit owns hard.
Based and Munozpilled
The Eyeball Kid from Bacchus/Deadface
I was wondering if it was from another series since you already had Bacchus on it.
In no particular order.
Good choices! I still haven't gotten into the Invisibles. I like a lot of Morrison's work though so I'll probably enjoy this one too. I've also been meaning to get into Hellboy and The Goon. Those two have been on the backburner way too long for me.
Good pics, user. Question by O'Neil always wins.
I know I said "in no particular order", but thinking about it the Invisibles is probably my personal favorite of all time. Love it to death.
thanks bro! I'm super happy that I managed to get all of the original TBPs before they went out of production, they have a place of prominence on my bookshelf.
I dont wanna include manga, but im also kindve a newfag for comics, i havent read much.
He deserves more love. He's amazing.
I like a few of the Bacchus characters, including Joe Theseus and Chryson.
Scud and the Maxx are two more comics that seem to be forever on my "To Read Later" list. I need to get around to them at some point. They seem super 90s in the best way possible.
Haven't read much Maxx yet but Scud is amazing.
I have to read that Marvel Color series.
I'm not a big fan of DeMatteis or Kirkman, but I really have to get on The Question.
You could post your manga 3x3 if you want.
Kirkman I totally get, he's hit or miss for a lot of people.
HOWEVER, let it be known that if you can't find yourself smiling and/or openly giggling at JLI you objectively have no soul.
JLI was pretty hit or miss for me. A lot of the jokes felt like they were more suited for an audio medium. It had a lot of fun moments though and the relationships between characters like Scott and Barda or Booster and Ted were fun. Also it had some pretty good dramatic beats like the story of the Gray Man or Amanda Waller freaking out when she thinks she killed Blue Beetle.
Get outta here with your realistic critique, I wanna keep my nostalgia glasses on!
Haha, don't disagree with much of what you said. I think part of the reason I love it is that the humor seems so oddly written from today's perspective, very much a product of the late 80s and early 90s.
I haven't read JLI. But I've read some of his other stuff and didn't enjoy it.
Hello
What's the bottom right? I like the design of that dopey looking pirate guy.
What are the names of these? I only recognize is Love and Rockets
Set to Sea. Really short but very good.
Nice. I didn't enjoy Moonshadow too much.
Not too bad. Not a fan of Otoyomegatari.
