Hey there, Readers and viewers alike. As you can see from the SINFUL footage of a secret attack on the Mjolnir Platform that took place just a few weeks ago. Recanted rematch between the Heroic Pylon of Justice, Believer. And the secretive information collector Fatherboard. It is unknown as to how Fatherboard and his Lackey Cohorts were able to breach the station. We have testimonials and footage of the other fights on our site of Fatherboard's hired henchment taking on I.T and other heroes throughout the station.
I ask, is this payback after Fatherboard attempted assault on Co-smotropolis Museum a few months ago? Payback for the thrashing taken at the hands of Believer? This horrendous villain has truly tried to strike the iron at which we found. But I ask you: Why did he do it? Who did he hire? From the footage we see it was nothing but a breaching scuffle. Taking out a few waves of useless Co-tingency goons and escaping before footage is cut off from what I was given.
What masterminded plan does Fatherboard have? What was he searching for? Revenge or a motive beyond mortal flesh? And how will our heroes retaliate? One thing is certain, Co-tropolis.
Fatherboard was not working alone. But it seems his bout with believer was far too flashy to extrapolate the faces or names of his consorts. Faceless goons perpetrating a mechanized plot!
Find out more at 11 when I continue this deep dive into the footage. And how the petty thralls of villainy only continue to beckon failure over simple revenge.
For now, to Private Johnson with the sports! Goodnight.
>D was at the beach not not in his usual attire it was something else, something to translate into the summer, he looked like he was waiting for something
youtube.com/watch?v=uQpclIzUwLk >Jack hung by the back of his knees from a street pole; swinging a bit as he waited. >The Railroad district grew worse around him since Evil ran its hands and flooded crime down to street levels; windows boarded themselves up, curfews were established by neighborhood watches, buildings burned, and territorial walls established in certain areas. >He'd finally invoked the one 'Sharpe' to find him; in expense for helping him take out whatever dangerous foe they would find in the night the rights to the diamond he'd been juggling between himself, a one-eyed individual, and his cohort.
Oh, dear sharpe, where are you?~ The night's ready to be taken by the horns..!
might be gone until well into the night, fucked up schedule bit me in the ass before i could realize it was friday.
>As D was grumbling to himself, a taller by half an inch coffee haired man slowly slid down the slight incline to the beach. >Kicking up sand as he stumbles and dusts himself off.
"Whew!"
"Sorry if I'm late. H-Had a few things to do first."
>Usually in an afternoon like this Janet would be thinking about going on a patrol like a hero should, but not today ! The day was simply too good to not go to the beach. With a parasol and a beach bag full of stuff she was just crossing the boardwalk before noticing her ever moody coworker from the store, D and right by his side another friend, the blue mage Jerry >Excitedly she waves at them from a distance before picking up the pace so she could properly greet them
"Hii Dee, hey Jerry how ya doing ? Sun's great today huh ? Why are you wearing field soccer clothes Jerry ?"
>Standing idly in the sands was a girl, strangely dressed in a referee's outfit as opposed to anything summer-like. Her arms were crossed, and a soccer ball rested gently on the sand in front of her.
"What is taking everyone so long? I can't believe I agreed to this..."
>She wasn't sure how she had been roped into reffing, but she intended to do a good job of it. At least it seemed as if more people were arriving.
"Hey Stix, I suppose so. Its great to see you." >He gave her a smile.
>Jerry looks down at his outfit. Then back up to Girliath. "Field Soccer? Those usually have soft cleats and more breezy clothing. T-This is just a general outfit with a number on it. I used it for volleyball before.."
"A little while longer, Miss?... Thanks for being so patient."
> Far away from the Voleyball game, Dester wanders around the beach with a detector. Beneath the thicc sand, he's looking for something, something acient, as he recently heard of an old artefact that should lies somewhere under that sand.
"Hmm no... nothing, another can of soda, another old shoe and another can of canned bread. But I will find it I will find the lost Idol of Lodi."
*VOOP* BIG D! H'nyahahaha! Good t'like see ya, brah. Nora said you needed help with somethin? Also, that I should dress *precisely* like this... Wut's that about?
>The surge-protected superstar has been sitting on the sand for a few minutes now, occasionally posing for the small drone that she tends to have follow her around, because taking selfies is the best use of a piece of equipment designed primarily to track criminals Hey, Jan. Took you long enough to, like, get here and junk. I was all thinking you'd miss out on, like, the sun. ... 'Cause you're slow. >She chuckles, thinking that some part of what she said is funny somehow
>Voiping onto the scene is the ever wandering Portalis. "Ay." >Looking around at everyone, Portalis looks at his wrist bereft of a watch. "This is the right place."
.. It's a game again. >He said with a sneeze Just like last year, I think
Your leg is better, better than being on the streets, stop compaining
Angel Nguyen
>[even the boss is here, and a referee ? are they gonna play something ?] >She interrupts her own line of thought as to not look like a fool in front of her boss "Hi Ms Solara, good to see you, heh, by kicks you mean soccer ?" >The idea of playing something got her rilled up but as soon as she finishes the sentence something else picks her attention "Just a sec" >A goofy smile comes to her face as her college friend Amanda was there too, Janet does a quick jog to come over to her friend "Yo Mandy, I thought you were the type that stayed at home playing games in a day like this *giggles* what is up ?" >Dropping her beach bag and the parasol in the ground she takes no time before spreading a towel in the sand and sitting by her friend's side
Well, like ... there ain't really much else to do at the moment. There's this, like, totally grody energy abosrbing bug that got pulled into the tower from another dimension, and I just ... uh ... I don't really want to deal with that right now. Dad can handle it. Thing almost bit me.
Well, it DEFINITELY wouldn't be a first for him! >Scarlet Angel reports in for duty! Or... a soccer match. >She came down past the sand dunes in a Greek jersey that had seem awfully in pristine condition, almost as if it was barely worn. And if it isn't over the milk, it's definitely over him and his picky choice of food. Said my alfredo sauce was TOO cheesy! I can't imagine how he keeps as healthy as he is with how fussy he is over a good meal.
>Even Jerry covers his mouth and looks hiding a giggle N-No, Rambler. Its a Rematch today I think.
Zachary Diaz
>This looked like enough people. Six should be enough, at least to get things started. The girl suddenly stepped forward, putting one foot onto the soccer ball, and blew her whistle to get the attention of everyone.
"Alright, let's get this started. This is gonna be a clean game first, and a fun one second. Don't even consider cheating. Nothing gets by me. To keep things from being a total mess, if any of you have powers, don't use them. If I catch you using powers, the other team will get a penalty shot. Sound fair? Good."
>With that, she waved her arm towards them, picking up the ball and taking a few steps back.
"Now, pick your teams, or if you're already decided, just group up so we can get this thing moving."
"Rambler, if you're on D's team. Uh.." >Jerry counts on his fingers for a second. Muttering the names of everyone on them. "I can fill for Scarlet's then. "
>Jerry nods. "No powers. No worries." >He gives off a weak smile and rubs the back of his neck. "We're uh.. 's-stoked' to have you here too. Rambler." >Gently looking at Rambler. It's good he's all good. If he's here you can only wonder--
>Ah good, Nora's here too. >Jerry walks over to Scarlet's side of the field. "I hope we all have fun this isn't a.. s-side choosing thing I uh.. yeah."
>With a little nick of force she shoves the parasol in the sand quickly setting it up for a nice shade while listening to Mandy nonchalantly talking about otherwordly invasions "What me ? I guess I can do haha" >She fakes the awkwardness, deep down desiring nothing else but to be called to play a fierce game of soccer "I gotta go, Man" >She says before springing up from the towel and quickly going over to the impromptu field. She's was taken aback by the other woman around Janet recognized the face on the spot, Scarlet Angel who once healed her after a battle, yet Janet had to hide her excitement and pretend she had never met her before or risk revealing her identity to more people "Hey what's up, I suppose you are friends with Jerry right ? Nice to meet ya" >She gives Jerry a small slap on the shoulder to rile him up for the upcoming event "So ? Let's play some ball ? Been forever since I played something in a team" >She says with a beaming smile
>Strolling onto the beach where the other heroes were congregating, Centurion Maximus, sporting a lack of chest armour and a pair of board shorts, enters the fray showing his "beach bod" Greetings fellow heroes. I too would like to participate in today's recreational festivities. If... if you would allow me, that is. Hopefully the recent actions of... some members, of the Legion did not reflect poorly upon my own reputation, and if they did, I would like to rectify that today. I have no prior engagements regarding the organisation of these teams. However, if Girliath is to join Scarlet, then I shall happily even the teams and join with Dimension D and his players, so as to have a fair 3v3 match-up. If... if that is allowed... of course
>Jerry was looking into the far distance for a moment, his eyes catching the shoreline. >Before... >THUD. >Jerry is taken slightly downward with the pat. His shoulder given to the massive mitt of Girl, Jannet.
"O-Oh! Hello. Yeah, that's Scarlet. She's cool."
>Jerry rubs the back of his head as he escapes the hefty weight of Girl Jannets hand. "Well, Stix was going to play on D's team. So we had 3 on 3, if you want to play I can step out, though."
Nathan Evans
I never-- No its not that, it'-- Im not a picky eater, you just added too much cheese to the alfredo sause i could practicly taste more of the cheese than the alfredo. It's not a picky eater, i just know what my body wants. >He said walking over to the small girl and i hate sand im glad i picked a game that we both suck at. Anyways-- If you're on my team just walk near me if your on scarlets walk near her. just like last time come on. It can be a four on four, don't care pick a side
>The girl looked the machine up and down, giving it an odd look. Yeesh, if this guy was showing up, this must have been a real high-end event.
"Well, there's six of us now, so--"
>As Jerry intervened, Anya just shrugged before giving Centurion an affirming nod.
"If that's fine with you, then you're free to play. We've got a strict no-power rule, but I don't think you can stop being made out of metal, so... Be delicate, I guess."
Christopher Moore
>Centurion quickly cuts Jerry and the Referee off What? NO NO NO! That won't be necessary. My ocular sensors require recalibrating it seems, to have missed such an obvious detail. I do not wish to intrude upon a planed game and force someone else out of their fun, especially not you Blue Ma- uh, I mean, Jerry. No, I shall sit out for the time being. I can act as a substitute in case one of you are injured, or as an extra player in case anyone else shows up to even the teams. Or perhaps I can lend my help to refereeing the game. Yes! My sensors and Legionnaire Scouts would assist incredibly in ensuring a fair and lawful match if you would consider my offer. Regardless, I shall stand by you D and play on your side if you need me. If not, I shall gladly excuse myself from this tournament to ensure my presence does not intrude on anyone's fun. >The robot commander strides towards D's end of the beach, and loiters a bit further back from his team
